The Island Restaurant at Lusty Beg Island in Fermanagh

Very picturesque, summer is the best time to visit. There are plenty of activities to involve yourself with. Tennis, canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, four wheel driving tracks. Walks around the lake are interesting, fairy trails etc. The cabins can be very cold if staying in winter, probably because of the breezes over the lake.

The island is a lovely location, the resort is really good and the staff are very good. But don't come here if you're not at a wedding or going on a party weekend.The accommodation is really close to the wedding venue and so there will be loud music playing until late. If you're unlucky, like we were, then wedding / party guests running up and down the stairs and shouting until the early hours.It's a really great place but don't bother going if you are looking to relax or to have a quiet drink.

Called down to see about my daughters wedding and a lovely girl called Donna showed us round the island and the we had lunch wich was beautiful

A lovely setting on the lake with picturesque views. The male staff member who served us was very efficient and pleasant. We ordered a flat white and latte with scones which were displayed with a touch of elegance, very nice presentation. We look forward to visiting again. A relaxed environment!

Spectacular views. Only thing is the food quality and service has become poor. I went recently, no table available on arrival despite booking. When we were seated eventually the table hadn't been cleaned and when the food came (fish n chips) the chips were very hard and dry. The staff were very apologetic but all in all not great service.Great for a day out but wouldn't recommend eating here.

One of the Irelands hidden gems.. back for our 2 year anniversary and was just like being back on the wedding day on the Island. The boat ride, the food the views... What an amazing place

I attended a wedding on the island. It's an absolutely beautiful setting and a great place for a break if you wanted an island getaway. I'd definitely go back, there's enough on the island to keep you there for a couple of days

Before starting your journey to Lusty Beg try to get there during daylight hours because it can be very confusing going through small villages and single track roads some of which have large pot holes, so cars with a low ground clearance will have to be aware especially if taking the ferry to the island and having to unload vehicles at some of the cabins or walking to the venue areas where it can be difficult for the ladies in high heels ( 👠BEWARE). The staff will do as much as possible to make your experience a memorable one, even the 90+ones, yes, really, a gem 💎. The setting for a wedding is almost perfect if not for the presence of strangers wondering around, ie the other guests within the complex, so booking cabins and houses as close to venue early would be best. Good weather conditions will be a play a huge part in your enjoyment, being able to socialise with friends outside under current circumstances because of covid will have a more relaxed atmosphere for many. I have to admit though if you plan ahead properly and ask lots of questions, and bring all your necessities with you, it'll be a time to remember, and the 3 star rating is to make room for the improvements.

I'm giving this 5 stars based on location and atmosphere. It's a lovely spot and worth a visit. The atmosphere was great. A bit noisy as there was a wedding taking place - to be expected on a Saturday night in the summer. The food was pretty good with 3 out of 4 of us very happy with our selection.

Lovely overnighter on the island in one of the houses (room), although it was very busy with residents the service and food were excellent. Relaxing seaweed bath was excellent. Spa staff very helpful. Be aware in busy times there can be a vehicle queue to get off the island. Will be back very soon we hope
