Being local we always frequented the coach House for many a lovely meal.We decided to return after lock down into the new courtyard restaurant and I have to say I was very disappointed.Firstly our drinks order was wrong and that's fine, but when it was corrected the juice might aswel have been coloured watered. For £2 a jug I would like to know what I was paying for.Then for my mains the chicken goujans were frozen out of a bag not hand battered with own spices, disappointing for a hotel restaurant. The salt and chili chips were stone cold saturated in vinegar? Soggy and it was more of a rub/seasoning not real salt and chili with actual bits of chopped onions and chili.Prices have increased to well an extortionate level and while I do not mind an increase if it is reflected in the quality of food and service. Such a shame we have lost a gem the coach house was great and had an atmosphere for dining while the courtyard has no views, poor food and no atmosphere.
