Cubley Hall in Barnsley

Our son and daughter in law held their wedding here.Brilliant venue, super organisation, friendly and professional staff.Hotel rooms superb.We will be coming again to sample the restaurant.Highly recommend.

We've eaten at Cubley Hall several times over the last 12 months and it's been brilliant every time. The food is lovely and the staff very polite and helpful. We went for breakfast this morning. It was very tasty, excellent value for money, and the young gentleman who served us was really attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Celebrated my dads 90th birthday here and its a lovely place. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the meat the turkey was delicious, but the ham and beef were fatty and tough. The rest of the food was really nice.

A great place in a great location. Went for the carvery on mother's day and will definitely be back. Food was all good, staff were really friendly and then afterwards we went to the play park so the kids could have fun whilst we sat in the sun with a pint enjoying the views.

This was one of the best carvery I have had. The food was excellent . We were with two vegans who was also very impressed with the hotpot and veg. The staff were very nice. I would highly recommend you try it.

Stayed there last night. Not my usual place but I am glad I did. Hotel room was on small side but perfect for an overnight business stay. Food was lovely, beers were good also. Breakfast very tasty. The price very competitive and staff friendly. Will go there again. Soon.

Lovely place, decent food, helpful and pleasant staff, nice room, good breakfast, great atmosphere. Only negative point was the debris on the carpet and mess on the table tops in some areas which for the sake of a 5 minute vacuum and wipe over would have moved the place up a notch. And lastly a preference for me would be not to have 1970's white marble Formica table tops throughout, it looked at odds with everything else and left me thinking upmarket Weatherspoons, which is unfair because it is nicer but the impression is there. Yes I would go again as good staff always make a good stay.

The best beer garden for miles around. Beautiful views and a brill playground for kids of all ages. Great selection of home cooked food too. We had a Christmas dinner there and was massively impressed with how fresh and delicious it was.

Went for lunch and we were very impressed. First time we have been as we live quite a distance away, but it was well worth the trip; and we shall definitely be going back! I had a Chargrilled Steak sandwich on Baragella Bread, and my partner had a Prawn & Marie Rose Sauce sandwich on the same bread, both served with homemade chips and salad garnish. The bread is absolutely delicious. We were served by a young lady called Zoe who really went out of her way to look after us, and nothing was too much trouble; we were both made to feel really welcome. We didn’t have any children with us, but there were several children in as they are on holiday this week. I could tell it is a very child friendly establishment. Finally, the one thing we were most impressed with was that ALL the staff were wearing face masks. The spin off from this is that virtually all the customers that went to the bar put their face masks on as well; so we both felt safe as we are getting on in years and trying to be cautious. So thank you Cubley Hall and your friendly staff for an excellent lunch.
