I can't fault the quality of the food it was delicious! I can however fault the customer service. Waiting for our food delivery ( we've ordered from there a few times and live in the same village) I received 3 calls from a number that came up as Bishop Auckland; it's a Sunday night I presumed them spam so didn't answer. I was left a voicemail from the number and It turns out it was the delivery driver I obviously rang straight back and apologised profusely for not answering and my reasonings to be met with THE rudest man I've ever had the misfortune to deal with!!! Apparently if a strange out of area number rings and I quote "I best answer the phone next time he calls" in an aggressive and rude manner. We won't be ordering again... I've heard the Curry Mahal is better and friendlier.

Ordered a takeaway and it took over 2 and a half hours to come, then it was freezing cold so we had to warm it up before we could eat it. The portions were horrific, previously they have been full to the top, was almost like someone had been eating it! We also rung to find out where our order was and 4 times were told it was on its way, the 5th time we weren’t spoken to and they cut us offDefinitely will not be giving them our custom again

Was a little bit worried when I went in and I was the only customer. I shouldn't have worried, the food was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend here .

Good, but not great. Food was fresh and tasty but lacking something that I can't put my finger on. Will be back to give it another go.

Very nice evening as part of the eat out to help out scheme. Busy as you'd expect with everyone taking advantage of the offer. We sat at table 1, I believe, which was in a corner and was nice and relatively private (front left corner). The food was tasty, the bottle of wine was scrumptious. The cleaning up after tables were vacated, efficiently done and smellled nice. Despite the demand the boss man and his team coped well and were all over it. Impressive. We had to wait a bit to order our food, but this was advantagous as we couldn't decide what to have.Plus we were chatting nicely. I felt the staff were pleasently attentive without being over intrusive. We had a few drinks near the bar before we left. Sapphire gin and brandy. The boss man took the time to explain the bill to my fussy account other half. Very patientWill go back.

Dil rag was recommended to me by colleagues who travel from the other side of town so we knew it was one to check out. Really lovely meal, and great to go somewhere that doesn't skimp on the garlic when ordered, 10/10 for that one aspect before taking anything else into consideration. :) The meals were very tasty but were not as spicy as we expected however the addition of a delicious hot plus cooling sauces at the table ensured the meal was spot on to personal taste. A busy little restaurant for a Tuesday night, says a lot, and I look forward to our next visit :) (oh and it was great to go somewhere where the cotton napkins are big enough to make a mouse. Haven't been able to do that in a long old time!)
