Happy Garden in Barnsley

I don't usually have a problem with this restaurant their food is fantastic however, upon ordering tonight and waiting 3 hours, I find out they are closed, yet advertised as open on just eat, both the restaurant and just eat need to ensure that when closed it states so, I've paid £30 for an order I will not get and now have to wait for my refund. This is absolutely inconvenient and frustrating, as such I can't trust when to order from this place again and as such I won't be!

I hate to be that person, but this was the worst Chinese I've EVER had. A few weeks ago we thought we'd try a new Chinese, definitely regretted it, especially when we spend so much on it. I had prawn fried rice and as soon as I opened the bag a really strong smell of off fish was looming. Thought I'd try it first and they were definitely out of date. I don't think they know how to cook crispy seaweed either! The salt n pepper chicken was OK.

Mixed starters are 1/10 - the rib was actually in 4 tiny bits of basically bone with hardly any meat on and what was on it was drier that the Sahara desert. Seaweed tasted funny like it had fake sugars, prawn toast overcooked and bad quality. Same for the spring roll and wonton. Vermicelli and chow mains were edible but not good. Bad quality food cooked without care - better chinese takeaways elsewhere.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Poor service our order was an hour late and everytime I rang they said another 15 more minutes. By time the order came an hour late, we asked the driver to wait while we checked if it was hot she was too quick to run up the path and yes the food was stone cold, chips were extremely dry. I will never order from these again and advise that people stay away from it too.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star!Order came to a total of £23.10 and it’s was horrible wouldn’t feed to my dog!The food was cold, over cooked and the chips were like cardboard not to mention the chicken was undercooked and pink inside!Rang the restaurant and explained and I told them I wanted a refund, the delivery driver came out and said we can only give ex amount back.Absolutely vile 🤢

They cancelled my order on Just Eat 2 hours after placing it. Was birthday meal and too late to order elsewhere. Shouldn't advertise as open and accept peoples orders.

Doesn't even deserve a 1 when ordering a salt and peper box you would expect to at least taste the peper has well has the salt .But no just tasted like it was baked in salt the chicken was to hard it hurt my teeth there was no flavour no garlic no onions just salt the only thing what tasted like it should was the bottle of coke and the spring rolls the chicken was more less crispy £23 down drain

Order was cancelled phoned them up and the lady I spoke to said they only accept so many order from just eat but dont turn the machine off so orders are still going in but being cancelled would have given no stars if I could

Not happy at all, ordered a total of £18.90 and the order was cancelled. As they don't take orders on just eat anymore. Rang restaurant and she explained that they don't take orders any more but it still takes your money and takes 2 days for a refund. They need to close the just eat down and this is going to happen to lots of people as it doesn't state before you place your order. Member of staff was lovley and helpful but still out of order.

Worst ever..!! Food unratable an when rang to query ( in an acceptable manner ) was met by a hostile response even though the food was ready to return (some unopened) . No refund or compromise was offered.. Totally disgusting
