Hung Wah in Barnsley

Very uninviting first impression which resembles more of a prison visits vibe than a takeaway - what's going on with the full length perspex screen and the little intercom you've got to talk through?The food wasn't much better than what you'd expect in prison either - there's a theme emerging here!I opted for the Chicken Chow Mein, which, just as other reviews have mentioned was lacking in taste - well actually, it was lacking in every ingredient except the noodles and 4 or 5 strips of what was supposed to be chicken. I've never seen chicken with a consistency of tofu until now!!Hmm not overly impressed.

Ordered king prawn fried rice, the rice tasted ok but the prawns tasted like they had just come straight from the freezer into the wok, they had no taste at all.

This is the worst food we have ever had, absoloutly horrendous !!! Wouldn’t feed it to my dogs

Just ordered from here .4 of us ordered only 3 orders came .we rang them for my special curry .said it's on its way took 50 minutes to get here in which time my chips were flat cold .I opened my curry and took a taste and I have to say it's the worst thing I ever tasted thrown away and gone to garage for a burger please don't go here road kill would taste better can't give no stars

Just had a takeout from here and can honestly say it was the worst food I’ve had, special noodle box no taste at all salt & pepper ribs that I think were cooked at the crematorium and beef in ok sauce that was tougher than John Wayne’s boots !! What a waste of £20 safe to say I won’t be going again 🤢.

Worst food I've ever had. The chicken wings were dryer than Ghandi's flip flops and the chow mein was slimey like it had been boiled in pond water. Would not order again.

Delicious food, prompt delivery. Will definitely order again. 5* all the way

i ordered egg fried rice salt and pepper chicken. nothing wrong as of yet with them two orders but i also ordered a chicken curry and im disgusted they can even serve it there was more oil than sauce and also very runny last time i order and for anyone that is thinking of using this takeaway i would strongly advise you didnt. they also have 2 young girls about 14 years old working behind the desk and very rude

Question???? to all those giving this a five star, honesty have u been inside or getting delivered? Place was dirty, food not good, or fresh tbh, bbq dip was red wierd tasting but oddly nice. I think it was a fair star for that. However . I Won't go back it looks really disgusting in there. It really is very dirty, I would question eating food from this place.

Just had our first Chinese from Hung Wah and will certainly be the last. I ordered chicken in orange sauce and fried rice. It was vile. The chicken was bone dry and tough. The sauce I'm convinced was made using washing up water and came in a separate container which I have never known before. Usually comes already on the chicken. All in all a pure waste of money as the rice was ruined with the sauce. Avoid this place. 😡
