Preyo Spice in Barnsley

Ordered takeaway from this place a couple of times now and the food is really good. The sizzler mixed starter is very tasy and has lamb chops and chicken wings which are brilliant. Also the curries are very tasty, I've not had a bland one at all from here - full of flavour. Last one I had was chilli chicken balti which was quite hot as the name would suggest. I fancied something quite hot so went for it and was not disappointed! Loads of chilli flavour too. Very nice and the meat also seems to always be good quality. It's slightly more expensive than some other places, it soon racks up but it seems you are paying for the quality. This is my preferred place for takeaway now and we live in Scissett which is about 2.5 miles away. Sometimes when it arrives it's not very hot, obviously it's just travelled a fair distance so we just have the oven on and heat it up for 5 mins. Good food!!

Lovely food but steer clear of ordering take out for delivery. Abysmal service. Told an hour to an hour and a half. Two hours later and still not arrived so cancelled the order.

All four of us rated the Royal 5* for food and service. Try the giant nan bread if your hungry, though I had a small one and was happy. Place was very clean and made very welcome. You won't be disappointed.

We had the buffet, and the kids had English meals. It would've been a little better if the kids' meals had come out altogether. Our favourites to try were the chicken wing and meat samosa starters and the chicken dishes, pilau rice, and naan for main. Overall, it was a nice meal. The serving staff were all friendly, and the service was smooth.

Went here for the first the last week. It's fantastic! Great food, great atmosphere, really friendly staff, can not fault it, will definitely be returning here!

Ordered a takeout meal for delivery last night that arrived cold, promised another meal tonight as a good will gesture, that arrived undercooked and Luke warm , they say that they open at 5.30 our latest delivery arrived at 5.45 no way was the meal cooked fresh given also the delivery time. When a refund for the meal was mentioned we were fobbed off that there is no one available to deal with it until Friday. Although last night there was hence the replacement meal tonight. May be good to eat in there but the takeout service is definitely a waste of time, and money almost £30 is a lot to throw in the bin , looking forward to our refund I hope , with hospitality business and food outlets struggling at the moment this simply isn’t good enough, only the ones that excel and give good service are likely to survive, as I’m sure they will find out.

Would like to give this zero but can leave a revue if I do this. I ordered a meal on Tuesday night which arrived very cold after waiting over nearly over two hours which was a good hour over the time told this meal would arrive this meal was nearly £30.00 phoned up and was told they would sent a replacement the next evening this meal turned up again cold only this time wasn't cooked properly phoned yet again and told there was no one about that could deal with this and someone would phone me at 5.30pm Friday tonight I left it till 7pm no one called so yet again I phoned and asked for a refund and was told I couldn't have one and accused of trying con them to get free food which I find very insulting. I tried to come to some sort of agreement to no avail. So my opinion is don't use this restaurants takeway unless you like getting nothing for your money. It's an accident waiting to happen when some poor person goes down with food poisoning we will be contacting food standard agency and trading standards at Barnsley council we are just registering the complaint now. We have our own property etc so why would we try to get free food.

Average buffet menu and somewhat dated restaurant in need of freshening up. Buffet selection was limited but nice. Staff friendly but not worth a second visit.

Absolutely love this restaurant, lovely decor, fantastic staff & the food is delicious, I will be going back for sure. (Fish Balti & Lemon Rice in photo).

To be honest, my boyfriend and I was looking for good food. Feel upset about that. Not much choice for customers. Curries were not replenished just left with sauce. No atmosphere. There was a lot of chicken wings only. Very disappointed still hungry after our visit. Carpet needs hovering.
