Went for a meal yesterday mid afternoon waited about 10 minutes before being seated,we had pre booked the manager who showed us to our table didn't smile or use please or thank you, was told there wasn't any pasta or pizza before we sat down, when ordering the grandchildren wanted nachos starters but we were told they didn't have any and hadn't had any for days so we got them garlic bread when that came it was a flatbread spread with garlic butter and the bread was doughy and seemed under cooked the kids wouldn't eat it, my grandson ordered sausage and mash with beans and gravy he received sausage and chips when we asked why we were told we must of ordered chips which we certainly didn't they then brought him a bowl of mash and gravy, the wife and I both ordered ploughman's lunch me with cheese and her with ham when we got it there looked to be a bag and a half of lettuce on each plate 2 pickled onions cut in half and 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half and 3 baton pieces of cucumber and some onion chutney and a slice of dry bread cut in half she had about 3 slices of ham folded and put on her plate I had about half a block of cheese cut up when we ask where our bread bun was he said they didn't have any so you've got a slice of bread then we asked him where the plain crisps were he said do you want them? Of course we do we've paid for them so he brought 2 packets of crisps from behind the bar and plonked them on the table he then asked if he could get us anything else? Yes please some salad cream. He answered sorry we don't have any left UNBELIEVABLE by this time I was waiting for Ant and Dec to jump out and surprise us. I don't think we will be returning any time soon

We go a lot as they have a good lunch menu and staff are always helpful 👌

Unpleasant staff, very direct and unwelcoming. Arrived at the play area for kids with a 9 year old and a 2 year old and couldn't play together because of height restrictions. Never been an issue anywhere else. However, whilst I supervised my daughter a group of kids came along and were pushy and definitely the same age as my older child but nothing was said. Staff shouted across the play area to tell us of the rules. Just very restrictive and rude. Food ok, nothing special. Won't be coming again.

Lovely place to take the family, it has a very well looked after children's indoor and outdoor play area and a very good menu for children, 3 courses of good portion kid friendly food. The main menu was really nice too very reasonably priced and lots to choose from for everyone. The only downside was there was a long wait for dessert BUT we had been informed of the possibility of a wait because we were a party of 10 on a Saturday evening but didn't expect to wait 40 minutes for chocolate brownie with ice-cream, that said I will definitely be back

Wasn't sure about going here after reading reviews.. But I must say , great service, great food . Must of waited around 10 minutes until the food was brought out . Had the mix grill all meats cooked to perfection. Thanks

The chefs at the carvery where touching the food without gloves and eating at the same time. The service was slow and our condiments arrived during deserts. The food tasted like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while and overall wasn’t very nice. The next time we went, the service was quicker but the food was still poor. There was a lot of noice from small children running about.

Had the breakfast buffet here with friends. Everything nicely cooked, hot and topped up frequently. Staff attentive and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

Breakfast buffet, good selection of croissants, crumpets, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereals along with a choice of a freshly cooked hot breakfast (vegetarian options available) if you want.Unlimited tea and coffee too and a choice of coffees and teas (including fruit and herbal teas) not just a standard coffee sachet or teabag.

Was 4 star sadly had to change to 3. The last few times I've been in, the kitchen has been overwhelmed despite the place not being very full. It was a 2 hour wait yesterday and the chips were over cooked. Which I don't like moaning to staff, the majority were clearly trying their best to keep things smooth. It's a shame because its been somewhere I've gone since being young myself and visiting brewster bear 🐻
