The food was ok, no big problems with it but nothing to brag about either. The drinks were also ok. It was quite off putting to eat food in a Sunday evening with a really loud bingo going on while you're trying to eat. Also lots of loud and disrespectful customers shouting and swearing. I didn't think it would be as rough as it was. The staff seem lovely though so I'm torn with this review. I'll have to try eating and drinking there another time to really figure out how I feel..

Brilliant local pub. Landlady is amazing and her team are hardworking. The atmosphere is warm & friendly and the grub/drinks are lovely. Give it a go - support your local pub/restaurant.

Country pub feel with friendly staff. Really tasty vegan mushroom pie too. It was nice to have so many non alcoholic drink options that werent just the standard soft drinks.

We originally visited several years ago and it was a nice quiet place to have a drink and meal, but when we visited recently it was packed and very raucous, with tables packed very closely to cram as many customers in as possible. It was very hard to have a conversation over the people shouting, and it did put a dampener on our visit (I'm not a killjoy but you couldn't hear yourself think).

Went for mum's birthday. Our order was all wrong or awful. (Cauliflower buffalo wings was mushed mess) The poor waitress who didn't take the initial orders for just 6 of us, was so embarrassed and tried to make it right. The Christmas dinners were all being served so our order off the menu just seemed like too much trouble to get right. Shame as we have gone for years without a worry. Wouldnt go again at this time of year.

I visited the Chapel House with my 15 year old daughter for a Christmas Dinner. As we was getting seated by our waitress Steph I told her we was not feeling christmasy and that we needed some Christmas spirit. Steph went above and beyond to make our visit so special the table was decorated beautifully our food was amazing as always and Steph never took her beatuful smile off her kind face. Amy the other waitress was asking if everything was alright also and trying to help us.I can definitely say that we came out of there with our Christmas spirit we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you 😊

A really nice pub with a great atmosphere. The staff were great with my child and gave her sweets and an activity sheet with crayons. The service was great and the food arrived quickly. The only reason I have dropped a star is that we were disappointed with the turkey and mash potato from the carvery menu. The meat seemed too chewy almost like ham and the mash was hard as if it had been reheated. Otherwise a great pub for the family with live sports available to watch and the bar is separated from the restaurant area so you can still enjoy a meal if the pub is busy.

Came for a late lunch, its following all the covid regulations, has decent parking and a large outside seating area overlooking a lovely old church. Inside is not bad either and the staff are friendly. We ordered drinks (which they forgot about, but no big deal), a starter of Cauliflower spicy wings, mains were fish and chips and a burger. The starter was tasty, but could've been crispy, the mains were fine, not amazing, but satisfactory. It just seemed the food had been cooked from frozen, not like it had been made from scratch, I might be wrong tho. Although the batter was crispy on the fish. The pub is part of a chain, so maybe they have the same menu in all their restaurants. In future, I'll give the food a miss, but I will come in for drinks, outside of course 😉
