Poor experience and a wasted trip. I called the shop a few hours before visiting to explain what camping equipment I was looking for. The lady on the phone, I assume the owner / manager, said that yes she had a selection of these items for me to choose from. I drove 6 miles to the shop and when I got there and she actually bothered to look, she found in fact that they didn’t have any of the camping equipment she said they had, and “they must have sold them a few weeks ago”.

Went for crochet patterns and wool which I bought. Came away with a pair of proper winter boots reduced by £40 from when I tried them on in winter. Will definitely be calling again. Very friendly young lady to help too.

Amazing range of yarn to choose from and this is the biggest yarn shop I know of locally. Friendly staff and beautiful location. They also sell a good range of outdoor clothes/gear too 👍🏻 One of my favourite shops 😊

Used to shop here some years ago but has been altered and prices have gone up quite a lot. Not a very welcoming atmosphere either so won't be going back

First time visiting and was impressed with stock and prices in walking shop and loved the wool shop and the young lady was very helpful and knowledgeable and not pushy which I liked

Knitter's paradise at Coldspring Mill is a wonderful, well-stocked yarn shop with something for everyone. I managed to get the yarn I was looking for and a few extra skeins. Unfortunately the tea room is closed but there are plenty of alternatives in the area. The mill is in a lovely location so it makes a nice trip out to the countryside.

This shop is still recovering from Post-Covid - or at least it's suppliers are, with low and late deliveries, Cold spring unfortunately suffering with empty shelves and stock shortages. This is a real shame, and something that the government and others need to address. This shop is lovely, perfectly situated, and very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.

Large choice of outdoor clothing at reasonable prices . The girl working there that day was really pleasant and chatty . On my next visit I will be trying the cafe . Its better than travelling into the city to buy your walking gear . I reccomend a visit to Coldspring Mill .

Absolutely love this place. Staff are lovely and helpful. The wool choice is mind blowing, I never leave without a new project. I took a friend a couple of weeks ago ( fellow knitter and keen outdoor person), and when she saw the mill she shouted "a whole mill filled with wool wow"! Ha haThe cafe is great too.All your hard work to keep the shop open and keep everyone safe is very much appreciated.
