An ok Curry, an ok place. I'm always put off by restaurants where you've got to fetch your own cutlery. Chipped plates and bowls. Staff vacuuming around us as if rushing us to leave, it wasn't even that late. They serve food till 10 apparently and we were there before 9. The food was ok, nothing to brag about.

Over 30 years plus since last visited back in the days when a curry was 50p. Visited last week with 5 friends still a good curry and value for money . Service great . Won't leave it as long to return.

Been going here for decades cheap and cheerful food good but not 5 star ! service acceptable . Although I've not given it 5 star rating and big up reviews I will still be going back to eat time and time again 🤗

Great curry, not been for years, it's as good if not better than it used to be. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, no fuss, excellent value for money.

First visit for many years. Glad I went I had a fabulous Chicken Tika Masala. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful! It feels like such a treat coming here. The Mushroom Pakoras are sooooo Juicy! LOVE THEM! Could Eat a Bowl Full! The Veg Rogan Josh was sooo Fresh! Full of Veg, Hot and Spicy. Can't fault the place. Friendly and Polite, Comfy, generally a Pleasure to Eat here. Thankyou!

Food great, some of the staff are friendly some not so. My wife won't go here as the ladies toilet are such a disgrace. Gents aren't brilliant so don't know current state of ladies toilets. If they could modernise and clean in this area it would be a great improvement.

Hadn't been there in a decade so thought I'd give it a try. Nothing had changed, same decor plates etc. Was empty besides another diner and felt like sitting in a large living room. Had chicken curry, portions seemed small and chapattis were rather small and not freshly made. Maybe give them a try in another 10 years 😕

Since it is well known and featured in the guardian, we paid a visit for some authentic Indian food. The place was buzzing with customers and almost full. The interiors were a bit dated but had a fresh lick of paint which made it look clean. The food was nice and freshly cooked. The menu was simple and easy to understand. I ordered bhuna chicken which should have been dry but was not! The lamb dopiyaza was nice. The main dishes comes with free chapathis which was freshly baked. The biryani was a big disappointment as it was bland and had absolutely no flavours. They also give you free sides of cucumber and raita. They are particularly proud of Rick Stein's visit a long time ago and have a huge photograph of his visit.
