i took my wife for a pre wedding anniversary meal, we had a very warm welcome from a nice young lady, the starters and main meal were very nice, we both had aberdeen angus steak which was cooked perfectly,we both enjoyed our night and will definitely return again and recommend booking a meal at la rue.best regardsmr m hunter.

Five of us went a last Saturday night. Overall it was ok but I won’t be rushing back. It took 30 minutes for them to take our food order. Three of our starters had poached egg and all eggs were hard. The rest of the starters were nice. My main was a Thai green curry. It was ok but not the best I’ve had. The rest of the mains were really good, including beef Wellington and pork t-bone. Price was very reasonable and the setting was nice.

Still best value around. Good choice with complimentary 'cup of soup'. Please support this restaurant during this difficult time. Been around for 28 years, hand sanitizer at the door and tables spaced out so feels safe!

Excellent food, great staff and reasonably priced

Been a few times now and it's a great little place great service and amazing food. Mmmm

I should of done this ages ago. Iv eaten a couple of times with friends, small groups and large party's. Outstanding is a understatement. The service is great, the wine superb. And the food, well something else. Please go and visit. Go mid week for the offers as well you won't be disappointed.😁

Cosy little restaurant, nice decor, excellent service. Food excellently presented and mostly cooked to perfection. Only quibble was the sides of veg (slightly over done) and the dauphinoise (needed more seasoning). But don't let that detract too much, overall still 5 stars. We had the full 3 courses, Inc a nice touch with a free mushroom soup shot before the starters, and I'd definitely go back.

Wow.20 years I've been coming here and never had a bad meal. The food is truly exquisite with perfectly balanced flavours, interesting combinations and always beautifully presented.My recommendation is go midweek for the £16 2 course menu. Great value.I am an ex chef and ex mystery shopper so am exceptionally hard to please- I flipping love the food here.Go try it. Look at my photo.
