Lord Rodney in Bradford
Where is Lord Rodney?
🏠 Church St, Keighley BD21 5HT
"You can be guaranteed a warm welcome from the new team at the Lord Rodney. On the site of Keighley's oldest pub, the Olde Red Lion, the Lord Rodney is situated next to the parish church in the quiet oasis of Church Green. It was re-named the Lord Rodney following his famous victory over the Spanish Fleet in 1780. There is a real ‘wow’ factor as soon as you enter – a newly refurbished bar steals the show. The rest of this community favourite has also been recently refurbished, so is stylish but not at the expenses of its tradition and friendliness – with cosy areas including comfortable armchairs and a wood burning stove. It has a covered, heated beer terrace at the rear to enjoy ‘al fresco’ dining and lazy drinking in the summer."

Honestly the place has gone down hill me and my partner have been I to Rodney over the years menus had changed management changed but the food was still top notch we've not visited since covid hit gone in with my daughter today the male sever who came and took our order clearly didn't care about the way he spoke swearing Infront of my daughter the food there isn't much option anymore many famous dishes have been taken of the menu burgers and pizzas for instance food was okay to day we was ordering 15 mins before kitchen closed there is only one member of staff there who was polite and nice and spent time asking if the food was okay and we was happy

Perfect place to come if you want cold food, a cold room and cold service. Extremely quiet on a Sunday lunchtime and even then we waited for service, waited for our food and when we ordered dessert and one was missing, it was made very clear to us by the staff that it was our mistake and not theirs.Definitely not recommended and definitely not coming back again. Can see why it's so quiet.

Wouldn’t even give this place one star if I was given the option. Just feels like they are trying to be like the Royal when they clearly aren’t.It was dead on a Saturday night before it’s shocking music on.Just don’t bother disappointing yourself by showing up here.Used to be so much better years ago under previous management

Very smart pub with a good range of real ales, mainly by Timothy Taylor, along with the full range of spirits and wines etc.

Christmas Day food and service was terrible! No where near worth what they charged.Ive honestly had better food at school dinners and better service at cheaper branded venues.Either the tenants are careless and disinterested or they are coming out so not bothered, if neither of these then you need to go back to basics and sort it out as if you carry on like it was today then I can't see how the place can carry on, unless it makes enough on drinks and food is just an extra, not sure but im very annoyed from today and feel completely ripped off!I then had to endure rude and offensive responses to one of my reviews from a relative of the tenant, thankfully they have now been removed and the venue have given us a partial refund, however we would have preferred to have just had fantastic food and service on the day and not had to complain and would have rather had good things to review.

Disappointed by the food which felt like a glorified expensive Wetherspoon. Pub on a whole was rough, bouncer on the door shaking hands and walking round the pub to talk to those that shouldn’t have been there. A DJ was playing, to 10 people. Unable to keep a tab open past half past 7, clearly due to the “clientele” this pub is now attracting. Such a shame was once a nice place to eat with a classy atmosphere, the only one in Keighley and now it appears to be the same as the rest. Won’t go here again.

The beer is nice but the food isn't good at all. A let down as other Timothy Taylor pubs in the area do good food. BBQ Chicken pizza came with a thick soggy base, plain boiled chicken (not BBQ) and then was drowned in loads of cheap "BBQ" sauce which was just sweet and tasteless. When I ordered I was asked if I wanted chips or onion rings with it, so assuming they were included, I said chips, and was then charged extra for a side of chips. My wife had a chicken burger which she said tasted bad and was way too salty. Avoid.

Excellent venue. The food is great and the Timothy Taylor's beers are perfect to drink with it.I loved the forniture, the light coming in from the big windows on the roof and the biergarten, full of beautiful plants.I ate fish and chips (with tartare sauce and mashed peas) and nachos. Both excellent! The ladies who served us were really polite and efficient!
