Food was good, service quick & efficient but it's a sizeable restaurant and when busy fairly noisy, consequently it lacks cosy ambience. Don't expect to find a competitively priced house wine. Staff professional. Can't say the music of tinny covers of well known songs added to the environment.

Nice location, but the Vitello milanese was oily and undercooked in places. We received a discount at the end. The duck was delicious.

We booked a table for 12th Feb for my birthday with friends On arrival the staff were very friendly. When seated we had to wait 20 minutes for our drink, we ordered our food and when the starter arrived the brushetta was really tough to cut and I found a hair in it. When the mains arrived we ordered 4 steak with garlic potatoes we received 2 chips and 2 potatoes decided to keep the chips as didn't want to wait 5 minutes for the potatoes to come. Which in fact was the right decision as the potatoes were dry like they had been left and microwaved. The steak however was cooked to perfection . The service could have been alot quicker even though it wasn't that busy we had to wait 15/20ins for another drink ect it's such a shame as we had high expectations. And for a meal that cost £250 it's quite frankly disappointing

We have been for many events over the years (graduations, birthdays) and it has never disappointed! Always great service and food. Three of us went for evening meal and it was better than ever. We had 3 courses and couldnt fault any of it. We always look forward to returning

The food was absolutely delicious. The wine exquisite and the dessert divine. Yep I never thought I’d use such words but now nearly 3 months later as I write this review I remember it with a smile. Relaxing ambiance of the roof terrace with wonderful views of the hills. We spent the afternoon on Ilkley moor and needed to find somewhere to eat, knowing, September 2021, everywhere seemed to suddenly want everyone to book, everywhere seemed busy because covid restrictions had lifted, more people were eating out. As we were on holiday and the holiday cottage we were staying in was naff, we ate out every day. The good side of horrible accommodation was the joy of trying many different wonderful places to eat out.And of all those many places, this was the best (and most expensive, and we're used to London prices, even Michelin star prices, but it was worth every penny!). i am still smiling at the wonderfully relaxing peaceful non-stressful meal we had on the terrace, and how laid back in a good no rush you way, it was.Arriving in Ilkley town, there were many places but it was very cold and the menu on the outside of Piccolino had things I could eat, so we thought lets ask if they’ve a table. (I find it very hard these days to find a place which caters for my dietary requirements, and protect my kidneys and heart diet! – no processed food, no red meat, no salt, no spicy, no mustard….) We asked and they said there was space on the roof terrace – well that sounded very nice so we said yes please and were shown up the stairs – which I have to say I managed with arthritis, but some may not.On the roof terrace the ambiance was lovely. Heaters were at intervals giving off a lovely red glow (makes you look good in pics) and warmth. Lots of small lights in the green decor and very comfy seats. wonderful views of the hills. Not many people at this stage so I got a couple of great photos without people in them, but we were there at 6pm, quite early, by 8pm the restaurant was pretty full.Lovely meal, lovely location on enclosed roof terrace with view of hills. We will definitely dine here again when we are next in Ilkley visiting family. This helped the holiday have a wonderful glow.

Really amazing service and delicious food. Authentic and well presented. Love the roof garden with amazing views and atmosphere. First class from welcome to goodbye. Can’t recommend highly enough! Really looking forward to returning for Christmas menus

Had an absolute fantastic meal here! I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and it tastes amazing! Would highly recommend and will certainly return to try more of the amazing menu. We sat on the roof terrace, however due to light rain the roof was obviously closed, would love to return on a sunny day, i can imagine its lovely up there! My partner had Lasagne which equally tasted amazing! Again highly recommend!

We always enjoy coming here, either for a nice meal for my wife and I or for a family treat. The staff look after you really well whatever the reason for your visit. The grandchildren love it.The roof terrace is a real treat as well. The star of the show is the quality of the food though. The ingredients are very carefully sourced and described in the menu. This gives us confidence that what we are eating is top quality. We've never been disappointed. If you haven't tried it we thoroughly recommend that you do.

Lovely busy restaurant with upstairs terrace .friendly staff excellent service..lunchtime menus were fab. reasonable priced . Full menu available to suit all requirements ..drinks menu was great and my favourite Moretti on pump .gorgeous coffee and warm brandies to follow our meal .only 1 suggestion ..love to have complimentary Italian bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip ..but that didn't spoil the lovely experience of all 7 guests ..all our meals were completely yummy 😋

We visited this restaurant as what had been our favourite establishment in Ilkley (a well known French themed restaurant!) basically said they were full when clearly that wasn't the case! We headed over the road and found Piccolino and so pleased we did! Staff were charming, attentive and gave an incredible unrushed service. Food and wine was top quality with a very appropriate speed of service, not rushed but not slow. The whole establishment was modern in feel with great old fashioned touches such as linen napkins. Not the cheapest of establishment but you get what you pay for here, top quality! On this visit we were in the ground floor restaurant but the establishment also has upper floor terrace and restaurant too. Can certainly recommend to others and thanks for a great evening! We'll certainly do the 160+ round trip miles to visit again!! 🙂👍
