Qchnia Polish Deli Bar in Bradford

Amazing homemade traditional polish food from a friendly polish family run cosy café , huge portions for the price ( I had to take it home) . I tried the pigeon a.k.a Gołąbki ( gowomkee) cabbage rolls with meat filling and mash. The free homemade drink that comes with it is so light and fresh. The owners are very helpful chatty and welcoming. The menu is in polish but they explain everything to you in English. You can also download an app I use called ' scanandtranslate' to take a photo of the menu and it translates to your language of choice. Next I'll be trying the pork schnitzel it looks amazing. Its walkable from the city centre 10-15 minutes walk. Will definitely be back. Just before I left I was given a beautiful portion of goulash to try and wow.. Thick chunks of beef and rich sauce. I was also shown the hash brown style pancakes I am trying next time.... I will make my way through all this menu I am sure. I'm glad i left a tip it was so worth it.

Abandon cheap takeaways and patronise this place! Literally the best restaurant I have been to in the UK so far. Every dish was fresh, made with care and well-balanced in flavour. Huge portions (come with an empty stomach). Very cheap -- considering portion size and quality. Owners are very friendly. I would give it 7 stars if I could

Really cannot overstate the quality of the food here. A Polish friend recommended to me a few years ago. Always been more than satisfied with the service and price too. Owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The Golonka and the Pierogi are my favourites.

Very welcoming, friendly and obliging to two late-comers. Cheap, but great-tasting, value-for-money, home-cooked / home-prepared food. Small, family-run restaurant. You don’t need to be Polish to appreciate the quality.

Well I have done a fair bit of traveling, and done loads in Poland.But in my hometown I have found my best, favourite restaurant in the world.It's not posh, fussy or fancy but hells bells it's like being invited into a 3* Michelin chefs home.It's home cooked, all fresh and plentiful. Don't be put off by the area, or look of the place. Pay your £10 for 2 courses, dont eat all the Rye bread and you might manage a desert.

Wonderful find! In Bradford for one night and we hit upon this wonderful cosy and homely restaurant after a google search for somewhere close. Immediately felt welcomed in lovely surroundings and we had delicious Polish home cooked food washed down with strawberry and apple juice. Really worth a visit 😃

Lovely friendly staff... I do not speak Polish but the manager assisted me in choosing a meal ..Chicken noodle soup.. Goulash on Potato Pancakes with a side salad washed down with a refreshing Polish beer.I would highly recommend a visit and I will be returning soon to sample the other delights on the menu

Fantastic food. Great service. Owner came over and helped translate the Polish menu (which has new dishes each day). Extremely good value for money; we had starter, main, side and drink for less than £10. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Really nice traditional Polish home cooked food, great choice on the menu which changes weekly.Husband & wife team both very friendly.Really good price for starter & main course & compote drink.They also have a choice of Polish beers.Not posh or pompous place will definitely be going again soon.Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try some decent Polish food.
