Sergio's Italianissimo in Bradford

On 14 March, a Monday evening, my wife and I entered the restaurant (without a booking) having noted plenty of tables free. We were told that due to a party taking over the restaurant they could not accommodate us. We enjoyed a meal at a nearby Portuguese chicken restaurant only to walk past Zizzi afterwards, one hour since we were turned away, only to see that that there was no party and the restaurant was still quiet. Bizarre to say the least. Wish I could leave a review for the food!

This is the second restaurant I would be reviewing in Bradford and I must saw I absolutely love the space and ambiance.We made a reservation for 2 for 5pm and arrived promptly. We were greeted and given menu’s we place orders and they surprisingly arrived timely. The food was okay although the pasta wasn’t as spicy as was indicated, the lasagna was a bit burnt but okay and the drinks and dessert were okay.

Whilst visiting the theatre we checked online to book a table for 5pm , the only good point was they said they would hold the table until we arrived up to an hour .After seated we visited the toilets and was not impressed with the hygiene standards in both male and females areas.We had to request drinks after being seated a while , however we did receive our starters in a reasonable amount of time , however the service went down hill from this point -no one came to up date us on any delay on food , we wasn’t asked if we would like more drinks ! There seemed to be a large focus on deliver food !!!!!We finally received our food 1and a half an hour later -however the food was a disappointment !

Arrived at the restaurant and was asked by the server if we had booked a table which we had not. She led us to a small table and we sat down. We were given complimentary pasta twists which I do admit was generous. The time we arrived it was fairly quiet so asked if we could move to the booth as it was more spacious, waitress said no as it was already booked. 20 minutes later and another table was seated next to us who then also asked to move there and the waitress happily let them. Food was nice. Service overall was disappointing. As time progressed tables began filling up. There was one waitress serving everyone. Asked her for the bill and 10 minutes later still waiting. We were not even given plates so asked for them and received a kids size plate to eat pizza off. Table next to us was still eating when we asked and the bill was brought over to them and they had left in the time we were still waiting. We were completely ignored. Eventually had to ask for the bill another two times. No apology was given by the staff. Very underwhelming experience.

Came here two times and ordered once whilst working in Bradford. Service was great both times and the food was brilliant the first time. Whether I ordered wrong the second time I don't know but the meatballs are not great. Both times I ordered the same wine, second time it tasted uncorked, so being an italian restaurant thought they would simply swap it. Which they did in the end but it was a hassle to get this done.Understandably takeout option not so great.

Booked in for a meal online with my family and requested a high chair as I have 2 year old toddler. Arrived at the restaurant to be shown to our table. I asked for the high chair that I had added to the booking to be told there was none available. This left us with no option to leave without having the meal and then trying to find somewhere to eat on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Not happy as high chairs are a basic for any restaurant

Went here with my family the service was appalling only the man in charge had any personality the rest of the staff with multicolored hair and sullen faces were as miserable as could be. The takeout orders took priority over the diners we never got asked if we wanted another drink or how the meal was and to top it all we had to wait 30minutes for my 5year old twins ice cream which we left before it was brought out due to the fact we had a theater to attend and couldn't wait any longer. I myself have worked in the restaurant industry and if this was my restaurant I would seriously be giving the staff customer service training.We will not be returning to this restaurant .

Food was good, but service time far too long for the price you’re paying. Waitress who was initially serving our table, begun working the bar, and we got forgotten about until we made a point of it, even after that. Waiting time was too long. Many times we’d finished our drinks and was left thirsty, with table full of plates from previous course.. oh and they need to turn the heating on, was freezing inside

My daughter was visiting me over Christmas. We went into Bradford to look for somewhere to eat. I have lost count of how many times I have passed Zizzi but my daughter suggested we eat there. What a good decision 😊. The restaurant is very nice and comfortable, the staff were warm and friendly and the food was very tasty. I will definitely be going again.

Really enjoyed it. Nice relaxed atmosphere and staff were excellent. Great place to eat whilst people watching.
