Shimla Spice Restaurant in Bradford

Shimla is a great place to go, inviting staff and atmosphere to go along however the food isn't as good as it used to be , but still great food , and sometimes very long wait times. The restaurant it's self is very eye catching and a stunning place to visit! If you are past Shimla be sure to go in for a curry!

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Made to feel welcome and a valued my only complaint is that I could not eat more of the excellent food.

I went with my family today, we ordered desi starters which came in a platter full of caramelised onions nothing but onions lol very little portions of the mix grill … then we ordered lamb karhai which smelt really bad, We were extremely disappointed as we had come from Manchester expecting the food to be of great quality. Lamb karhai seemed like it was made days ago and re heated and served to us😭 finally rotis (flatbread) is suppose to be round and cooked well not half cooked 😳 we got them in square shapes (not that matters but it’s about presentation?) I also asked for a Peshawari Naan and it looked and tasted bad .. I have tried many Peshwari naan and this isn’t how it’s suppose to be. But anyways this food was a no for us .. they really need to improve on cooking skills👌🏻 🏼

Visited on recommendation of my wife's cousin. It was good with large portions - one between two would have been sufficient. What he did omit was it doesn't serve alcohol - not a problem really as the kept up water supply well.

Terrible. Extremely quiet Sunday evening. Minimal cliental in restaurant. Ordered meal and strangely the waiter questioned both orders, both because he wasn't keen on either dish we ordered. I asked what he would order and he told my partner what he would prefer. (Totally different dishes to those we had ordered?) Waited easily 25 mins. No meal arrived. At which point I cancelled order. To which the waiter explained telephone orders were very busy this evening. Possibly ordering a takeaway may have been the best option but I won't be returning as service and communication especially as I was comparing. Was absolutely unacceptable and poor at best.

Great food, the Sizzling Starter is particularly outstanding on an impressive menu. Service brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic atmosphere. Great place for a celebration. Can take own wine and beer.

Nice place. Good decor, clean environment. Friendly, helpful staff. Decent food with good portion sizes. Service was a little slow at times, but we were quite a large group and that was understandable with so many orders to provide. Recommended

Haven't been here for a little while but it never disappoints. Had the fish achari with chapati, it tasted really fresh and delicious. The spice was complex and balanced, the fish was perfectly cooked and the service was attentive and friendly.

A must try for any curry fan if you are in the area. Its no wonder they have won so many awards. The food is incredibly rich and flavoursome and very well portioned. The massive naan are fun too. Always great service too. The best place to eat in shipley in my opinion.

Staff are really attentive, cannot fault it. Food is always consistently good when me, friends and family go always leaving with full happy bellies.Atmosphere is great, a really nice dining experience and has been busy each time I've paid a visit.Price is not that bad in my opinion, especially since you can get delicious food with good service, I would say it's typical average pricing?
