Great - we had a lovely meal here. Delicious food (we both had steak, and it was cooked just as we each requested) excellent service and genuinely dog-friendly.

Top quality home cooked food. Some of the best roast potatoes I’ve ever eaten 😋 and or course, many fantastic pint to be sampled with it being a Timothy Taylor’s pub 😃

In these extraordinary times I was tempted to hold back. However I’m mindful that the public use this site to make decisions about where they spend their harm earned cash. So I’m being honest. The food was warm, a plus. The starter chicken terrine was a jellified grey lump which resembled something the cat played a role in. Unappetising but in fairness tasted ok, wouldn’t recommend. The main (Xmas dinner) very uninteresting/bland. Desert ok nothing special.But far and above what stood out was the terrible service. The staff were surly bordering on aggressive from the outset with a ‘can’t do’ attitude. Clearly lacked experience and finesse despite the prices. Confrontational to the extent that we had to assert ourselves when interrupting our conversation about who ordered what. Meal with drinks cost little under The Ivy prices but came nothing near. Summary:sub standard pub food and quality restaurant prices. Avoid.

Nipped in for lunch after a walk round St Ives. The food was really nice but staff were a little bit slow. Would definitely go again.

Went here on a Wednesday about 2.15pm after walking locally. Reasonable menu choice, clearly have a proper chef as the quality and presentation was really good, served food till 3.00pm which was great for us, too many stop serving food earlier. Nice atmosphere, older style pub with a mix of furniture. Prices slightly above average but quality was worth it. Would definitely go back if in the area. Give it a try it's worth a visit.

A Timothy Taylor pub with great beer and a magnificent menu using local fare at a great price. Nice atmosphere and dog friendly with treats and water. Plenty of parking. What's not to like?

The food was incredible, so freakin tasty! The waiting staff were also very attentive and relaxed such as the pub atmosphere.Really lovely way to spend two family birthdays.From a fellow chef, biggup yourselves because you're doing it so right!

Went for a Sunday roast. I only wanted meat which seemed abit confusing to them at first. Ended up bringing me half a cow and the same portion of pig. Absolutely delicious and the waitress was lovely. Highly recommended

It’s a nice gastropub in a great location. The service was good and the food was nice. The flat iron steak especially was delicious - tender, tasty and melted in the mouth. The steak and ale pie too was delicious.

Went here for lunch for our first visit. Pub was nice, staff polite and quick to take drink orders. Menu was up on wall so easy to see. Our server was great at checking ingredients to ensure no dairy. My partner and I ordered local sausage sandwich with red onion relish and mustard meyo with fries and onion rings. Sausages were lovely, fries crisp and onion rings tasty. Will definitely visit again
