The local 'Bronte ales' worth a try for any beer buff. Nice atmosphere and friendly host with no one to help due staff shortages.

The sausage and mash that we were served was poor.I tried the various Bridge House Ales non of which held a head whatsoever, although didn't taste terrible. The service was good.Dog friendly.

Had a lovely dinner here today! Warm and welcoming after a walk around howarth. The staff are friendly and the pub is lovely. Wasn’t a long wait for the food! Will definitely go here again next time we visit!

I ate there last yesterday afternoon with a friend and we both ordered the lasange and we both found the food beyond bad. To a level where the lasagne put us in hysterics. It tastes nothing like lasagne. Cheddar cheese (??) half melted on top, one piece of pasta in the middle and some other suspect ingredients. Just really really odd. And bad.Beer was good and the pub was nice but we will categorically never eat here again. Just awful.

Went to this pub on holiday, check the menu before we went, when we got there, there was nothing on the menu that was anything like it. I ordered what was suppose to be a stew. It looked like something you would give your dog. My husband had fish which was ok. I have never had a meal like it and I hope I never do again. I would certainly never go there again. Cannot give any stars.

Extremely Disappointing food, picture below with two rashers of bacon which were overcooked off £8.. £3.80 for a pint of coke. Would recommend going to another pub.Only 2 stars because the bar staff seemed friendly.

My partner booked a table for Sunday 23rd for lunch. We arrived to be told the chef hadn't turned up! No phone call to inform us. Usually great service, lovely food and fantastic beer. Luckily the staff at the White Lion opposite wanted our custom. Don't know what's going on, but I'm a regular customer and left disappointed that at the first opportunity to eat out the business wasn't snapping my hand off.

Love this very doggy friendly pub. We visited this fine old pub on a rainy Sunday afternoon and we loved the fact it served food but also welcomed muddy boots and dogs. Every dog gets a Sunday dinner whether their Mam and Dad buy oneor not. It's always a good sign when you see a water bowl out for the dogs. Fine pint of John Smith's. We didn't have a dinner, however, they looked to piled high, topped off with a massive Yorkshire pud. Definitely be calling in here again. With my dog.
