The Ling Bob in Bradford

I review food and food establishments. Read this for an honest review. Me and my other half came to ling Bob because the website looked good and the establishment it's self looked nice. To be honest it was absolutely amazing food. Actual autnetic Greek recipe's. The burger was very mouth watering, covered in cheese and beautiful relish. The chicken in the burger was covered in a lovely crispy spicey batter. The bun was a lovely brioche bun with the "x" sign cut on the top. The chips are not home made but with the price it doesn't really matter to be honest, they we're still nice and crisp. The side of onion rings was absolutely gorgeous with crispy home made batter. We got about 10 big onion rings for 2.50 I think the price was!!!. The Greek lamb kebab was very soft and tender as well as the pitta. The price was bang on for what we had. The lamb kebabs had a lovely Greek sauce and they we're seasoned good with mint!. The only thing I can put a downer on is, I wanted a Greek lamb kebab but I wanted grilled chicken pieces with it as I like to eat grilled chicken with Greek kebabs as that's what I get when I go to other similar places. But the owner just refused to do it for me for some reason. He did say he wouldn't know how to charge me for it but other places just stick another few quid on the bill. It was a more expensive dish than the burger as well so it didn't make sense that he didn't want to make more money by doing that? He was polite but needed to smile abit more lol... We will be back very soon for one of them lovely burgers.. The young lad working at the bar with glasses was very polite and we'll spoken. It's had a lovely refurbishment as well. PHOTOS HERE.....

Firstly before I even talk about the food the service was shocking. The female manager was rude, abrupt and passive aggressive.The food was cold, so I sent this back, when the original food returned heated up on the same plate with the same sauce I questioned whether this was fresh. The manager was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. All I wanted was hot, freshly cooked food, not cold food reheated.My boyfriend’s BBQ bacon was fatty, undercooked and so much sauce you could swim in it. All on top of cold salad.Prawns were over cooked and rubbery.When I asked for sauce I was questioned and make manager said “why? There’s sauce already on the fries.” There was not!The service I felt was poor and even when asking for the bill the female manager (Lynda) had no manners and made no eye contact or made my boyfriend feel like he was not welcome.Shocking and wouldn’t return, let alone recommend!!Avoid at all costs!!

4 of us visited today and what a treat. Weather prevented us from attending geek night last night, but there were still Greek dishes on the menu. Starters mains and deserts all lovely and cooked with care. Service and hospitality was great and a delight to be there. Some of us had Greek dishes and some had Sunday roasts. All dishes were great without exception. We’ll definitely go again and glad we braved the weather to get there.

We never have a bad meal here. Great pub grub with Greek dishes also available. Lovely couple who run it and great beer. What more could you ask for?

Fabulous food, they certainly know their stuff. Service excellent and the owner, who took our order made that extra effort to ask if we wanted an extra ingredient added to our dish, off the menu, something that she recommended

Amazing food. Staff were really friendly and looked after our table. They had a really good selection of spirits and beer. Would recommend the crispy pork belly, was cooked perfectly!

Never been before, lovely place. A great menu and vast amount of ale to select from. Staff were exceptional and food was 5*+. Will be returning in the very near future. I can imagine this place bussing in the summer.

Nice family lunch at the Ling Bob. Bit of a strange menu with several Greek dishes but everyone enjoyed their food. Great Yorkshire blonde too...shame I was driving!

Nice pub and staff really friendly. Good choice of drinks. Nice to sit out but just wish there weren't so many wannabe F1 drivers using the road which goes past it! Don't let it put you off though, its a lovely pub
