Beautiful cooked meal. Staff very attentive & friendly. Celebrating our niece's birthday.

Had a wonderful evening for a member of our team’s Retirement event. The room was set up beautifully and we were able to arrange for balloons and flowers to be delivered to venue prior to our arrival and the staff were really welcoming and attentive. Food was excellent and given our large group they managed to serve everybody quickly. It was a very enjoyable night and such a nice location. We would certainly arrange a repeat visit in the future. Great food, very reasonably priced and a very varied menu selection. Thank you to everyone involved at 22 The Square 😊

Three course meal was lovely. Service was good. Atmosphere was busy. Price was good. But the reason I gave only three stars is simply because I booked in advance with specific instructions not to be seated next to the main door. Having dined here before I knew that tables next to the door were affected by draft and could be cold. Sadly when we arrived the only table left available to us was right next to the front door. My request had fallen on deaf ears!! The wind blew in every time a customer left the restaurant. One to be aware of!

The lunchtime two courses for £22 doesn't really stack up. Cheaper to get the items individually. Not a deal. However the food is good and nicely presented and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Think they should do a mid week lunchtime deal cheaper than £22 imo.

Great menu tonight 2 dine for £22. Number of meal choices making it easy and we all got what we wanted. Food was good and always good service.

Disgusting food, worst meal I have ever had, first and definitely the last time we go, food was just bland and overpriced, avoid this place!!

Went lastnight with my partner to celebrate our anniversary, and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was good too, it was really busy which is nice to see. The only issue I had was the table we were sat at, near a service door which leads to the restaurant upstairs. I did ask to move but all the tables were taken or booked. It didn’t put us off though because the food was perfect. Can’t wait to go again.

I've been going to this restaurant for years. Always liked the food and the service until recently. I ordered a takeaway burger, took one bite and found a big hair. This put me off my food and I didn't eat it. I phoned to let them know and was promised a large discount off my next order which is fair enough. When I ordered again a few weeks later they gave me 10% off, which I didn't think was a large discount because I was only buying a takeaway for myself but nevermind and I accepted it anyway, and when I went to collect my food one of the chefs was staring at me the whole time I was there! I assumed he was angry with me because I complained about his choice of burger toppings. Anyway it is a shame because if this is how they treat regular customers by trying to make them feel uncomfortable then unfortunately I won't be going back and that is why they get 1 star

I was very disappointed. I found it too expensive for the quality of the food. My steak was over done , would have complained but we were so hungry after waiting an hour. Will not be coming back.😞. You need to do better.

First time here, really nice atmosphere, food was nice too. Staff were great, they even brought over a homemade spicy sauce for us to share. We shared a starter, had a main each and then shared the tiramisu, which tasted fresh, cool and not too strong. After our meal, they let us sit on the leather sofas where we had drinks. All in all, a really nice night out, will definitely come back again 👌
