Blakeley's of Brighouse Fish & Chip Takeaway & Restaurant in Calderdale

These fish and chips were cooked well. Fish was white and decent cooked chips. However this is the second visit where I got an aftertaste of oil. Is it me or are they using different oil?

I have been to this fish and chip restaurant on several occasions, and I must say I have never been let down yet. The food is fantastic, the portions are very very good indeed. And the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you go to any fish and chip restaurant in Brighouse make sure it’s this one you will not be disappointed at all. We have also purchased food from this restaurant to take away and again first-class food could not be happier. Will definitely come back here again, in my opinion it’s the finest fish and chip restaurant in Brighouse.

Had fish and chips sat by the water and had a nice dinner lovely and sunny but also abit chilly well worth the money then a stroll round the little market some bargains too lovely day at Brighouse

Got a fish and chip lunch as part of the £5 canal trip (tickets from Ryecorn health food shop) Collected from a hatch in the restaurant and ate them outside. Gorgeous fish and chips cooked to perfection! Friendly bloke serving on. I would recommend both the trip and the food 👏👏😋

Beautiful fish and chips,batter cooked all round and not soggy at bottom.Service spot on always a smile on her face and nothing to much for her,well done toilets very clean. Roll on 40 weekend.

After having their takeaway a few times which have always been amazing we sat in the restaurant last night with the family and had such good service from the staff, the place was spotless, toilets were really clean and the food was amazing as always! I had lightly battered fish with chips which were both perfect. Service as I've said was great the girl who served us was so lovely. Definitely will be returning.

Would like too say a special thanks too Jess especially One of the waitresses!!☺️ Not only did myself and my mum go yesterday ( Tuesday ) for fish & Chips we have been again today!! ( Wednesday ) purely because the fish & chips are lovely beyond words!! Honestly the fish is absolutely gorgeous would recommend this restaurant too absolutely anybody who visits brighouse, Such lovely staff always kind & Helpful with smiles all round!!, Jess especially aswell as the other restaurant staff on both occasions have come too us in the middle of our meals an asked if the meals are okay! Which again is really nice. 5** Service. Honestly this is The best fish & chips around that I’ve tried😋 Well worth the money for the plate sizes and plus on both nights I have given a tip for the amazing service received.Oh, P.S THE TREACLE SPONGE IS TOO DIEEEE FOR😻😻 Seen you again soon!!!!

This is a local staple. It is always fresh top quality food. They do a gluten free fish also and there is always a queue but it is quick and you do not wait for long. This is guaranteed good food right in center of town and next to the canal for a good place to sit on nicer days if you aren't sitting in. Good quick service. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended

We heard some good reviews for blakeleys. So we decided to pop in. Good friendly atmosphere. Staff are helpful and friendly. The fish and chips were tasty and cooked just right.
