Caffe Nero in Calderdale

Good coffee, polite staff. Choice of beverages and snacks. Ground and first floor seating and pavement tables and chairs.I first posted this review 5 years ago,Update March 2022.Very pleasant staff, knowledgeable about coffee .

I really like the coffee here but what realyy put me off was the very smelly toilets,no loo roll and really needed a good clean. Think the staff were run off their feet as usually a very nice place to go.

Called in yesterday the coffee was lovely but the place is filthy,no clean tables everything sticky,it wasn't busy either and three staff, as I walked upstairs to the toilet I could see behind the counter and that didnt seem much cleaner either,no toilet roll in any toilets,very grubby cafe I felt dirty after my visit,won't go back

I visit Caffe Nero regularly for coffee, Panini and cappuccino cake, delicious!The staff are lovely, they make you feel welcome and can have a laugh.I would highly recommend!

Always friendly,nice relaxed vibe. Not really an upmarket or premium place as it's on a precinct so it attracts all kinds of people which makes it more vibrant. Good coffees, fair price. Has public toilets too.

Coffee was fine, but the place looked very dirty all round, tables uncleaned with cups piled up, no sugar sachets just a bowl with a dirty spoon in it, needs a good deep clean.

This week was the first time i've ever been in a Cafe Nero. I went in on Tuesday morning, had a lovely cappuccino and pain au chocolat to take away to work. The lady serving was fast and friendly and was able to take orders from a few people at one time. I went back on Friday morning for more take out breakfast and wasn't impressed at all. I was third in the queue and waited a good 10 minutes to be asked what i wanted because the poor girl working there was on her own and seemed stressed, she was taking orders in the shop and what i assume was online through the app aswell. All by herself with no help. I bought 2 large coffees and they felt empty when i picked them up... they were about 2/3 full. Not impressed. I didn't bother saying anything because the queue was reaching to the door and the girl was on her own and seemed stressed out. I won't be in a rush to go back there.

Great service, and friendly staff. There is also an upstairs seating area which is great as well as indoor and outdoor seating. There are a range of hot and cold drinks available. I have been a few times and had their iced coffee and hot chocolate. It is reasonably priced and a good spot for cakes and coffee

We stopped for a coffee whilst in Halifax. The service was very good and fast although covid rules was adhered. We enjoyed the latte and cakes which was reasonably priced. Loved it can't wait till next time
