We love visiting. And visited even more during covid! We came on Saturday and afternoon and sat in restaurant and met our friends from Lincolnshire. Due to covid we've not seen each other for ages. We had a great afternoon of giggles. Good wine and food. Service was spot on also. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. And will always recommend. Thanks guys.

Have been to the Alma many times enjoyed every minute loved the marque and had many delivery during covid staff and service always good but visited yesterday for mothers day and was very dissapointed our waitress was lovely and service was good but my meal and my husbands was only warm whilst his fish was still nice my turkey dinner was not good carrots and brocalli far too hard , turkey not much of it and there was a slight burnt taste to it my daughter had steak pie which was nice and hot she said her gravy had a burnt taste! We had mentioned to our waitress that food was just warm and then later to a women in charge and she said she was grateful for feedback but had no other complaints! I thought at least a free drink or some compensation seeing as it was mothers day so I am sorry to say we will not be eating at the Alma for a long time!

A lovely pub with great service and delicious food! So happy we found this on our travels. Definitely worth a visit. The interior is cosy and dog friendly.

We rang to book but told were we didn't need to book as we would be eating in the marquee. We were dubious but reassured it was 'warm and cosy". The marquee was absolutely freezing. When we asked for a table with a heater we were told only people who had booked could have a heater. Really?????? We told her we had been told not to book but this made no difference. We had to eat our meal with our coats on even though there were tables WITH heaters that were unoccupied. When the meal arrived we weren't given serving spoons or condiments and the staff member insisted on calling us 'lovlies '.If we visit here again it would only be in the height of summer and we would insist on booking, irrelevant of what staff say. Very disappointed

This was our first proper meal out for ages, a spontaneous decision as we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday. It almost felt like we were in nearly normal conditions despite the ongoing COVID plague. The staff were Lovely and they fitted us in at very short notice. The food arrived promptly and was of good quality and a generous serving, I couldn't finish all mine ! Nice atmosphere we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be visiting again in the new year.

Great atmosphere in the outside space. Lots of light and warmth. The Christmas decorations were spectacular. Helpful and pleasant staff. Delicious food. Dog friendly too!

Such a lovely hidden gem, hidden because unless someone who knows is taking you, you'll never find it. Very authentic feeling, log fire, wooden beams, beautiful open views, we were rewarded with a double rainbow over the distant hills. There's a good varied menu, I had roast belly pork with crackling, and vegetables , extra gravy and apple sauce which was about £11. Dogs are welcome and can enjoy lying on the flagstone floor in front of the fire.

A lovely festive pub to visit. Great Christmas decorations. Brilliant food but service a little slow, had to chase up the drinks. Nice to have the market stalls to look around.

The Alma Inn is a lovely, warm and friendly place. Staff are great, food is excellent. Had steak and Ale pie first time and it was delicious, it was so good we went back for Sunday roast. Again, excellent, beef cooked to perfection and thick slices, huge Yorkshire and mash as well as roasts, decent portions on both meals. My parents enjoyed theirs too. Mum.had kids roast which was plenty big enough. Highly recommend 👌
