Gabriels Coffee Lounge in Calderdale

A straightforward but good english breakfast. Outside area was nice to sit in with morning winter sunshine. Coffee was good as well

Nice coffee & cakes & delightful welcome awaits in this privately owned coffee shop. Even my dog was offered a welcome treat. A great place to visit.

Went in today, on a Saturday afternoon at around 14:20pm, after opening the door and asking if they were open the lady looked at me and replied with a very harsh "only for coffee and cake." I asked what time they were closing and she replied again very harshly at 3pm but last order at 14:45. When I then proceeded to order just a coffee (as I didn't want to bother her) she looked at me as if I just swore at her.After ordering a coffee I sat upstairs. When my drink arrived I said "thank you" followed by complete silence, not a smile or you're welcome.My drink was so hot I decided to leave it as wouldn't have had enough time for it to cool down and finish it in time and felt uncomfortable. Finally, before leaving I said "goodbye" and again the lady behind me said nothing. I wonder what happened to good customer service 🤔

Food ace, cakes acer! (not a word) The staff are lovely and friendly especially to put up with my friend who's a regular! A real treat of a place.

Popped into this cafe (first cafe visit post lockdown) whilst out on a cycle ride to Sowerby Bridge. Sat at one of their tables outside with a coffee and a large chunk of carrot cake. Both very tasty and arrived quickly. Friendly service and good value.

Great food and drink for a light lunch, prompt service, only small issue was them forgetting my dessert, but they were very nice when reminded.

Been shielding for 12 weeks. First place I have been to since, l had a( much missed) cappuccino. It didn't disappoint. Great coffee as always and friendly staff doing a fab job within all social distancing rules.

Visiting Sowerby Bridge for our 40th anniversary. Needed somewhere for breakfast, the good people of Sowerby Bridge guided us to Gabriel's where we had a beautiful cooked breakfast and were even given 2 slices of (delicious) cake to take away with us! Really friendly people, fabulous place which we will definitely visit again.
