Hiu Man in Calderdale

I bought this food today and I found this metal in a mouthful ... if a had swallowed it I would have had to go to hospital.

I've downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 as its gone down hill after it got better. Its also got more expensive and smaller portions so I'm less impressed. Also cash only which is a bit dodgy and seems to be a thing in many takeaways around here. They wouldn't let you inside during covid or to touch anything but they gladly touch our cash.as no contactless payments accepted.

Best Chinese I have ever tried!!

Was apprehensive due to previous reviews but was very pleased that we decided to give this place a go. The food was delicious we will definitely return our new go to Chinese

Not a good experience the worst Chinese I've ever had the duck in oyster cause had no duck the meat was chicken the special fried rice and chowmain Ian no prawns or other meat just chicken will never use it again I suggest no one else does

I bought food on Friday about 6. The chips were old, just wish they're have the decency to cook some fresh. Flung it in the bin. Curry was tasty. Shame they have to cut corners. Next time I'll go to the chippy across the road.

The food here is brilliant. When I moved back this was the first takeaway I had. Substandard where I was previously so really looking forward to it and hoping it was still the same. Pleased to say it was as I remembered. Recommended!

Had a veggie curry from there recently and it was disappointing.Very few vegetables and the sauce just tasted of salt. Felt as though it had been cooked without any care or passion. Also the boiled rice was very sticky and obviously hadn’t been washed. Poor value for over 9 quid.

Had special curry and fried rice - the curry sauce tasted like it was just madras powder mixes with water and cornflour - yakks. Very disappointed and what's with that Chicken?? I've never had Chicken that looked and tasted like that before - If we were living in the 70s I would swear it was Dog meat.Way over-priced too. Restaurants in York are cheaper than this place.One star given because the fried rice was nice, your only saving grace.
