La Luna in Calderdale

Went for a coffee on mother's day, early in the day (before 12). There were at least 6 free tables outdoors, probably more. Having been multiple occasions in the past I asked for a table for two and the gentleman (a manager or maybe the owner) looked moody and asked if we'd booked and I said no.He then said we were allowed 1 hour for a table and I said that was okay because we were just having a nice coffee and a cake.He then looked even moodier and said they're not doing that today, despite how visible it was that there were multiple people sat drinking coffee and eating cake. 😂I get mother's day is stressful, and you have bookings.... but more than happy to leave your tables empty for that hour and go elsewhere with that attitude mate. Having been over a dozen times in the past I'll probably not return now with my family.If you don't enjoy your job, life is too short, do something else. You work in hospitality, own up to the responsibility that goes with it, treat your customers well! I wouldn't have minded at all if he had explained in a respectful manner that they were too busy. In these times not everyone is privileged enough that they can afford to go out so customer interaction is even more important than ever.Anyway, we went to the gate cafe just 100m up the arcade and were treated with a smile. Lovely staff there and very friendly.

Lovely food and friendly staff. The portions were extremely generous, especially for the price. Highly recommend

Vibrant atmosphere, great food and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal (monkfish starter, greek mezze platter and pizza) and the gin cocktails were utterly delicious. We'll be back.

A 3 generation family visit and each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal.Welcoming, comfortable and spotless eatery.Absolutely worth the price we paid.We will be back!Luckily I hadn't seen the reviews before I went there as many people are commenting on the attitude of staff towards children as it may have put me off going in with my 8 year old.Our waitron was very kind to all of us and I never felt that any of us were unwelcome.

Clean an welcoming with a warm cosy glow.Staff very polite and quick service.Excellent presentation, well impressed 👏 back for more.When get coffee ☕ or tea 🍵 get a little pastrie on side well impressed.Didn't have desert on this occasion, but will be back for more.

Love Love Love! Amazing staff, atmosphere and food. Everything is so perfect I've been here so many times now because everything on the menu is something I'd like to try and have so far enjoyed every meal I've had here.

Very nice food and generous portions. On the expensive side though!

We dined at La Luna this evening. The food was delicious and well prepared, as always. However, I was extremely disappointed by the portion size of my chicken supreme. The two tiny bits of chicken were not at all sufficient for a main course.

Been recommended this place by a few people. Was not disappointed. Lovely food and drink. Really nice friendly staff. Lots of nice sounding dishes. Would definitely go back.
