Mooch in Calderdale

One-off cafe experience. Excellent coffee, good food, pleasant welcoming staff, payment on completion... Come for the atmosphere, stay for the cake (& the vintage cider!).(Plus they have WiFi).

To my mind, the best cafe in Hebden. Excellent coffee, delicious food (although pricey), nice atmosphere. Also opens lateish on weeknights which is a bonus.

Nice coffee shop, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. 👌

Great lunch! Friendly staff, dogs welcome, really nice atmosphere. Best bagel I've ever had, lovely fresh salad with a tasty dressing and coleslaw ... looking forward to returning soon!

Only stayed for a cuppa tea but a really nice place. The food looked great too.

Food tasted pretty good but expensive for what you get, was mega quiet when we were there so it had a bit of a weird atmosphere. Waitress didn't exactly exude friendliness. Probably wouldn't bother going back.

The chicken salad was tasty. We had to chase our order after 45 minutes and made mistakes on the drinks. The staff didn't acknowledge the wait even when prompted.

Fabulous coffee. Good food. Serving staff could have had a little more smile but, maybe a difficult day. You never know what people have going on in their lives.

We had an extremely enjoyable lunch here. Tuna on ciabatta with salad was described as "the best ever"! Meanwhile my double burger was sooo tasty and filling. Sadly no room for cakes 🙁😂!! Helpful and friendly staff, nice surroundings made this a very pleasant visit. Go and give this place a try... I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

2nd visit to confirm... Friendly, welcoming staff. Great selection of drinks & snacks. Covid safe procedures and very dog friendly, Benson offered water before I got my tea👍👍Update: Returned on campervan trip, excellent friendly service that I thought could be improved.... Is even better! 5⭐ Staff. Benson was offered a chopped sausage & tasty decaff coffee blend. If your in Hebden Bridge, #TeamMooch is worth the wander along the road away from tourist centre. Thanks guys.
