Pig & Barrel in Calderdale

Went to try out in this restaurant and did not expect the Capocollo are that delicious. The staff here are quite friendly and they told me that their chef are an Italian. Will definitely go to try other cuisine if i get another chance

The food is so good, beautifully presented. Have been coming for a few years and it just gets better and better. The staff are exceptional, kind fun and efficient. And the best thing in these times of rapidly rising prices everywhere, great value for money. They only place I have been in the last couple of months, that I don't feel just a bit 'ripped off'. Highly recommended

We used to visit the Golden Fleece regularly and always enjoyed the food and service. Unfortunately, our experience at the weekend was a real let down. We couldn’t get to the bar for customers sat front row and were then met with confused young staff who didn’t know what drinks they served, or if menus were required. My choice of meal was not a reflection of the enticing description on the menu. Then when my husband requested coffee and brandy to be told it was a pub with no brandy. We asked for the bill 3 times and waited quite a while in between. Great location and nice table though.

Really lovely staff, so friendly and polite. Lovely menu with the option for smaller sizes. Ordered the fish, chips and peas and couldn't fault it. Quick service and lovely atmosphere. Will be back again!

Never been before and we only live 2 miles away. Golden fleece will become are new go to restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff really friendly and a very short wait for the food and it was really busy for a wet Wednesday at 12.30

Great location with wonderful views of the local countryside and Blackley Cricket Club. Friendly and inviting staff make the experience all the more pleasant. Good menu with food served promptly and piping hot. Splendid selection of beers on tap and a varied range of wines and spirits also available. All moderately priced. Ample parking is available.

Absolutely cracking! A warm welcome for me, my husband and our little dog. There were a good number of menu choices to suit all tastes. My roast beef was a very generous portion with crispy roasties, a homemade Yorkshire and mounds of veg. The kitchen were very accommodating of a few substitutions due to dietary requirements. Service was also very quick considering we visited on a busy bank holiday. Would definitely eat here again.

You can't get a much better view than this while drinking a pint and eating a meal. Had really nice king prawn pasta with garlic and would choose that again. Staff were polite and friendly. With a cricket ground next door I'm sure I will be back to watch an over or two soon
