Restaurant at Shibden Mill Inn in Calderdale

Don’t even know where to start when talking about the positives of this place - there are just so many!Beautiful character pub / building. The food (every item) was spectacular and there’s a good range of craft ale and unique whisky to get into. Staff were super friendly / helpful. All in all, a very polished operation!We stayed overnight and the room (10) was very comfortable; nice bed, large bath, large TV and quiet.Highly recommended for a day trip and also to stay overnight. It’d also be a great place for anyone looking for a wedding function location.

Went for Sunday lunch hoping for a luxury experience and good food.However, it was shocking from start to finish. The services was extremely poor with over one hour between courses and some of the waitresses were only interested in getting you more drinks.The food wasn't great, roast potatoes hard like cardboard and certainly not worth £30 per head. We will never go there again.Avoid this pretentious venue as it seems to only cater well for their own local people. Certainly a clique and not very friendly place.

We went for the delicious outdoor pizzas but they weren't serving just yet. Instead had a lovely meal outside. Patio heaters on, warm blankets to use, great service. Only downside was price of food. It is a great restaurant with delicious food, but more of an upmarket place for a special occasion. Will probably return when the pizza van arrives so we can have a 'chill out' evening without feeling we need to put our dinner suits on. Booking advised for the restaurant.

A very beautiful setting with open fire. The staff are very friendly and professional. We had lunch, that was top quality and delicious. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Nice olde worlde Inn. Staff very pleasant & accommodating, food very good. Discovered a resident's lounge at breakfast which we would have liked to experience but not sure if it was available to us on night of our stay as we weren't told about it, maybe we should have read the hotel info book in our room 🤓. I reserve 5 stars for something outstanding and this was close but a few things like a bit of tired decoration & the loo roll holder hanging off the wall make it a 4 for me.

Lovely food and beautifully decorated, but it advertises as being wheelchair friendly/accessible, when in fact there are no disabled toilets. I rang first to confirm it was wheelchair friendly/accessible and was told it was. We ordered wine and food and then when I asked for the disabled toilet, the day was ruined. We had to leave before we had finished, to make our way back to use the loo. I pointed this out to the person in charge who lacked concern and showed little interest. The wheelchair symbol should be removed!!

We had breakfast here on Sunday, it was beautifully dressed for Christmas. Breakfast was delicious. We told them some of our party were vegan in our online booking and they brought soy milk and vegan butter to the table without being asked. Everyone loved their meals, and the home made jams and muesli. We wanted to come for lunch or dinner but it was all booked up, I can see why! We'll definitely plan earlier next time.

never disappointed with this place food first class. Sunday dinner was so good we went the week after as well. Christmas decorations really classy especially upstairs. we have noticed lately the carpark area not just quite as tidy looking as in the past.

First visit. Had a lovely meal. I had roast Beef roast pots, Yorkshire pudding etc. My partner had roast Turkey etc. Sat there with 2 more friends and passed a couple of hours away. Glass of wine. Friendly staff. Will definitely go again!

Loved it, not been for many years, Christmas decor fantastic, only drawback was I was advised outdoor marquee was seving pizzas as main indoors was fully booked only to find last marquee serving was 8p.m. we arrived at 5 past. Saving grace was due to non arrivals & late cancellations a table was available inside the pub, fantastic menu, a little pricey but the food is excellent & served by some really professional young staff. Try it, I'm sure you'll love this place.
