It doesn't open at 5 like it says on Google. No idea what the food is like, we had to go somewhere else.

My wife and I went here without a booking, around tea time, following a poor experience at another restaurant. We have just moved to Halifax, so are finding our feet a bit in terms of the local dining scene.First impressions were good: a really nice interior, so much so that I was hesitant to go in, as I only had jeans and casual clothes on (after going shopping) and it seemed the sort of place you'd normally get dressed up to go to.I needn't have worried - they gave us a seat while we waited a short time for a table, and made us feel welcome while we enjoyed a couple of G & Ts.Great service throughout; a good menu; tasty, well-cooked food; a nice bottle of wine; coffee and brandy to finish. A great experience at Romeo & Juliet. This is a really nice restaurant with friendly staff who know how to look after their customers.I can definitely see us adding Romeo & Juliet to our list of favourite places to eat!

my issue was not with the food but with the very rude man who was almost impossible to communicate with down the phone I live above the shop and would be a great customer as I live so close and love Italian unfortunately from the experience I will not be returning I really have no clue why this man was serving front of the house who could not understand anything I said baring the actual food that he understood but when I arrived to collect there is a English woman working there who was really lovely and easy to communicate with while this man stood about doing nothing just answering the phone winding customers up my advice would be for the woman to speak to the customers as she can communicate much better.

ExcellentThe food and service was terrific. My wife and I shared a mixed meat platter as a starter, followed by a T-Bone steak for myself and my wife had a fillet steak of which she left half as it size was to much for her.To accompany the steak we had a fresh saladDefinitely worth a visit

Authentic (proper) Italian food, well presented and plentiful. Nice decor, welcoming friendly staff. Value for money. My husband's starter, prawn cocktail was the largest portion that I have seen anywhere. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be calling in.

Amazing food and very nice and friendly staff. They cater for gluten intolerance as well which was great.

The beer was great, but the food was average. The price was cheap, except the beer, so i didn't complain. Many in our party were unimpressed but the chicken in cream was both creamy and chickeny but my friends median rare steak was well done, and not in a good way. Service was good, very attentive, but sadly Friday evening may have been chef's day off.Good company though, i mean the people i dined with, I'm not talking about the restaurant.
