Seraj in Calderdale

I ordered a chicken dopiaza some onion barghi and some meat samosa.I was given some mint yoghurt sauce and two chapatti. It was still piping hot when I arrived Home and I enjoyed it very much.Lovely meal.

Standards have really slipped here.The food is very poor and i think Calderdale Council would find a hygiene rating visit eye opening.Poor quality food and unhygienic.

Ordered some food late Sunday night chicken tandori and pepperoni pizza and chips. The chips was nice however the pizza was absolutely disgusting, ended up with food poisoning still to this day (23rd July) I’m not well. Was my sisters 15th birthday and I couldn’t even celebrate it due to feeling absolutely horrendous! Not the first time this has happened by the looks of things, think an environmental health check needs to be done! Certainly would not recommend!

Very unhelpful, had to order through just eat despite being in shop, I paid a service charge and they wouldn't even compensate in means of a bottle of water when I asked. Greasiest kebab meat I've ever had to the extent it got thrown in bin, all in all a terrible experience

Used to be so good!The pizzas and the special box from here used to be amazing. But unfortunately the management change has also affected the food.The place has been shut down many times in the past for very poor food safety ratings and has even been fined.The space inside is a little crammed and you get drunks coming in from the pub opposite.

What a lovely place ordered a few times now the food was excellent best ever if you need anything special they will try and fulfill your needs

Arrived with my son quite late at night as we had just come back from holiday and this was the only place open and fancied chicken and chips however all I got was really shocking customer service! They view you with such distaste as they serve you and God forbid you ask for extra sauce. I have never felt so despised in my life. Seraj your customers make your business run you should treat them with respect! Absolutely disgusting.

Outstanding Food With an Outstanding Service The Owner Was Great!When Everyone else Closed Early he went out his own way to Deliver food to me which is Something You don’t see anyone do so Huge respect from me! especially for late night snackers!I’m from Leeds And i can truly say you will Never be disappointed when buy from here!5 Star Service!A+ Food

1 stat given as it won’t allow me to do zero!!!! Ordered a pepperoni deep pan pizza, was told it would be 20 mins. Had to go back to the shop 50 mins later as it still hadn’t arrived to be told it would be another 20 mins! Got my pizza eventually for it to be thin crust and 2 pieces of pepperoni on it and it swimming in grease!!! And when I rang up to complain i was told I was wrong and lying, I Will not be returning. Absolute piss take, bring back the previous owners.

The best chicken dansak in the world!!! Not exaggerating. Been getting this curry from Seraj for the last 25 years and nothing comes close from any other takeaway in Halifax. Brilliant would recommend to everyone . Would give it 6 stars if I could xx
