Visiting Halifax for the weekend this restaurant was recommended by local people. We went on a Sunday evening expecting it to be quiet, only to find it very busy, certainly a good sign. The food was served quickly, and it was hot and delicious. Portions are plentiful and this is a very popular place to visit. Probably a good idea to book whenever you go.

The best prawn starter I've tasted in Halifax lamb chops was delicious. Make sure you carry cash. No cards are accepted. You can take your own beers. Enjoyed the service. Will visit again.

This is the best curry house I've eaten at and it's not dropped its standards for over 26yrs. Love popping in when I'm down in Halifax.Just wish they delivered to Scotland 😁

My freind was visiting from down South and treat us all to dinner on Wednesday evening. We placed our order over the phone and arranged to collect the food ourselves. My stars reflect the good food, as always it was excellent 😋, but my bug bear is that our bill for takeaway was £60.00 exactly and that is fine, but on collection my daughter noticed that there was only two mint sauce in the box for four people and asked if it would be OK to have two more. When given the extra sauce she was then charged for them even though we had just paid £60.00 for our food.Very disappointed with this Syhiba when making such a large order with starters for four people and being charged extra for sauce that should come with them.

(20+ Indian restaurant reviews)On the 25/03/2022 me and 2 other work friends visited Syhiba restaurant from Shipley. Booking was straight forward and even with short notice fitted us in no problem. This came as no surprise at all once we saw the scale of the place, it spanned 2 huge floors capable of seating at least 100 people. The décor is great, modern and fresh. We ended up sitting upstairs in the far corner out of the way, and felt like we had plenty of room.No alcohol served (bring your own, which is not uncommon.) But do not accept card which is the first I have visited to do that, cash only. The 2 Paneer Tikka starters were good no complaints but nothing special. The Chicken Pakoras seemed dry.The mains however left a bit to be desired, It wasn't bad but not good either, It was very oily and even though we asked for madras hot, specifically saying we are pretty used to spice, it was bland and had next to no heat whatsoever. The sides of Naans and chips where both very generous and had no complaints with them!Price was very reasonable but I probably would say I wouldn't return. Just because I think with the amount of people served quality has suffered slightly.Thank-you for having us though!

Lovely ambience, too noisy on Friday with crowd around you. Food was good.

First time visit since the old place down the road. Great service, cracking food and probably the best keema paratha I've had

Amazing food! Full of flavour with excellent portion sizes. Staff are very professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Great atmosphere in a lovely location. You can bring your own alcohol and it's cash only. Parking outside as a bonus!Highly recommended, A+
