Went to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday. One of the waitresses must have caught on and brought her out a small bowl of ice cream with a candle on which she absolutely loved and thought was a really nice touch.Chicken burger was great and the views are worth going up for alone. Would be a great spot for a wedding my other half not very subtly mentioned 🤔Would recommend.

Situated on the hillside with fabulous views.Lots of outdoor seating and parking.Huge gazebo restaurant with a great vibe.A good food and drinks menu, all the staff are very friendly and politeThe rooms only 5 are well presented and very comfortable with everything you need for a pleasant stay.Recommend the breakfast cooked fresh to orderIf you take the bed, breakfast lunch deal ,you get ÂŁ30 off your dinner bill which is very good.

Amazing outdoor area furnished to an interior design level. The pub offers countryside views and a varied menu which is all quality after eating here many times. Plenty of seating, good for big groups

Philly Cheese steak and Rocket salad with Rump steak were both delicious. Great views and outside seating on a summer's day. Would recommend!

We visited for a family birthday, a mixed party with small children. We all enjoyed the experience, the food and drink were excellent, we all had something different and they were all delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back 🙂

Have been to this pub before . It’s a 30 minute drive for us . The last time a couple of months ago , the whole experience was just ok . Last night we went again and was so disappointed. We ate at 8pm and was a table of 4. The service was terrible . We ordered mains and had to wait 50 mins . It didn’t appear particularly busy but there was a birthday party in and it appeared the majority of the staff knew them so they were the focus . The staff on the whole are very young and although pleasant , I wouldn’t say efficient. As I said , last night the focus was on the party group, even if it was to chat ! I fact there was a lot of staff stood around chatting . The person who appeared to be the senior , did most of the standing around .And so to our meals . As said the service was slow , we had to remind and remind for things we had asked for . Not once did staff come and ask if we wanted sauces for example or anything else . My prosciutto pizza came without the prosciutto! So they brought a bowl with hardly cooked prosciutto in it . The corn on the cob was rotten inside and the halloumi fries were particularly dry and over cooked. The food and experience was definitely not worth the drive or the money , all in all . I suppose , in these times when the cost of living has gone up for all of us, trade must be aware of this and ensure quality and value for money .

A great fine with lovely views, good food and friendly staff too. Lots of seating options, restaurant, bar, marquee and outside. Dog friendly too. Food vans open in the summer with outside bar, grill and toastie vans. We'll be back to try them out.

Have been to the Alma many times enjoyed every minute loved the marque and had many delivery during covid staff and service always good but visited yesterday for mothers day and was very dissapointed our waitress was lovely and service was good but my meal and my husbands was only warm whilst his fish was still nice my turkey dinner was not good carrots and brocalli far too hard , turkey not much of it and there was a slight burnt taste to it my daughter had steak pie which was nice and hot she said her gravy had a burnt taste! We had mentioned to our waitress that food was just warm and then later to a women in charge and she said she was grateful for feedback but had no other complaints! I thought at least a free drink or some compensation seeing as it was mothers day so I am sorry to say we will not be eating at the Alma for a long time!

We love visiting. And visited even more during covid! We came on Saturday and afternoon and sat in restaurant and met our friends from Lincolnshire. Due to covid we've not seen each other for ages. We had a great afternoon of giggles. Good wine and food. Service was spot on also. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. And will always recommend. Thanks guys.
