The Black Horse Inn in Calderdale

The Black Horse Inn, was exactly what I was hoping for, after a long day working, in nearby Dewsbury. Had I not already booked my accommodation elsewhere, I would have liked to have stayed at the Inn, so maybe next time. The landlord & staff, we're very pleasant, the real ale was excellent, as was the food and the background music.I would certainly visit again, if I was visiting the area.

I have used this hotel for work purposes for the last few years. The rooms, food and staff have never been anything less than outstanding.

We attended a function. Food was great staff are very lovely and accommodating. Nice setting.

Excellent food - I had the scotch egg starter and ham/turkey pie and they were too notch. Lovely friendly service from our waitress and a nice welcome from the manager. Prices a bit higher than your run of the mill place but worth it. Highly recommended.

Our 3rd attempt at marrying due to covid finally happened on Christmas Eve 2021 and it was absolutely perfect.Lydia the wedding organizer is second to none and nothing was ever too much trouble, the food was outstanding , staff were brilliant and attentive and the venue is just so charming , everything we wanted for our Christmas wedding.Thank you to all the team, we truly had the best day ever!!!Mr & Mrs Metcalfe

Lovely Roast dinner, lovely staff and great function room for my 5 year old nieces birthday party

We held our wedding here on the 2 October and many of our guests stayed for two and three nights. The wedding reception organised by Lydia and her team was second to none and the food was excellent. Many of our guests said they would visit and stay again at a later date because everyone said how smoothly everything went. We would recommend a stay here and visit the local area we could not speak to highly of the service food and the accommodation. Thank you all for making our special day so special for Alison myself and all of our guests.Barry and Alison Minshull
