The Causeway Foot Inn in Calderdale

Visited today with my family and dog. The staff were friendly, the meals were huge and delicious (I had the fish pie) and the service was fast and efficient. Had a lovely time. Thank you.

The food is really nice and great value for money, the staff are very friendly and the pub quiz is the best I've ever been to.Just been again (as we do nearly every Thursday) and this time I had the Ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly (very well done) and is up there with the nicest I've ever had whilst eating out.

Good atmosphere, large and roomy a great place to stop after a long walk at the nearby beauty spot or hills. A great range of ales, beers and spirits. Also ate here for the 3rd time and once more the food was lovely. Their fish pie is wonderful. My only criticism is that vegetables come separately at an extra cost but paying 14 for a meal I expected the veg to be included, making the meal expensive. Saying that the portions are large and the menu is varied.

Had Sunday lunch here yesterday. It was amazing the best homemade roast I have had in a longtime. Lovely friendly place with big open fire. We shall certainly be returning.

We spent a long time round Halifax looking for dog friendly pub and really struggled then we stumbled across this place just outside of Halifax that could not of been better. Lovely hot fire and great food. Really homely and friendly staff. Only things to note when visiting, the steps from the car park into the pub are very steep, the baby change is a window sill and only in the ladies toilet (21st century now guys, dad's change nappies) and you have to pay at the end of the bar which can be a bit chaotic. Other than these issues it's a great place !!! Would definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again.

Food is excellent!! We had creamy mushrooms and crayfish with smoked salmon, as starters from their Sunday lunch menu. P.S They are a dog friendly pub
