The Duke of Wellington in Calderdale

Newly decorated bar, thought I was in a Wetherspoons. Clean, friendly staff, excellent food at a good price. Mainly aimed for the younger crowd, if you are a real ale drinker, be prepared for dissapointment, no cask ales, a electric pumps.

We come here a lot for breakfast and it's always amazing! I'm vegetarian and my partner is not. They have got a new menu recently and so far it's a lot more choice and new menus are easier to read. My only upsetting thing is the past two times I've been they haven't had the fruit for French Toast 😭 it's one of my favourite breakfast meals. Nicole brought our food over to us and was lovely and smiley and checked that everything was OK for us. Would definitely recommend.

Went to Halifax for the weekend This pub was my favourite ( despite a beer been thrown at the wall & beer down my back ) Best pub 👌 Nice food Lovely staff Went back and will be going again! Plenty of TVs if you like sport 😉 👍 💯🍻🍺🍹🍷🍔🍟🍕🌭🌮

Clean, good food, well priced, kids meals were cheap but good quality. Mac cheese was gorgeous

been in the Duke a few times and actually held my daughters 18th there, shaunie dealt with it all for me sat down with the menu and we went over everything including specific needs for intolerances to food. Wow she went above and beyond as did all the staff the food was great, the staff was great and now its my go to place for lunch with the ladies. If you haven't tasted the steak baguette then it's an absolute must. Well done shaunie on making my daughters birthday a very special happy 1.

I ordered the bacon cheese burger. The ingredients seemed very fresh and were tasty. Burger juicy and bread soft. Cheese perfectly melted. Chips nice and crisp. I also appreciated the unique touch of the pickled onion to go with the burger. The interior decor was very good and spacious, one of the best I've seen. The server was very helpful and friendly.Room for improvement could be a better soft drink situation meaning full sugar Pepsi or better still Coca Cola.Overall this place was almost perfect and we will definitely return.

I really can't believe the review which calls this pub basic and needing new TV's! The TV's are huge, state-of-the-art examples and the decor is modern and welcoming. Large and comprehensive selection of drinks and a great menu. Plenty of veggie options (though of course I wouldn't mind seeing more!) Staff are friendly and helpful and there's now a new option where you can order via an app from your table. One of the best pubs in the town centre.

Been in here loads of times on nights out with friends and family also been in here with my mom , Patricia Walsh dad , john Walsh sister zoe, walsh my eldest son Owen Walsh and my youngest son Jack white.
