Great cosy pub with hidden garden, wide choice of well kept ales. What's not to like.

Just out of the town centre, this cosy little pub is well worth a visit for the Real ale fan. Half a dozen or so casks served in traditional surroundings Recommended. 👍

Excellent choice of real ales. Good bank holiday buzz. Tiered beer garden up the stairs not unlike the hanging gardens of Babylon which is how you think about anything with sunshine, atmosphere and interesting clientele

Been a while since we've been here, but it's still very welcoming and have some lovely ales on tap. Also had a very decent pork pie

Great place. The best bar I visited in Hebden Bridge and there are some great places there. Community run with loads of nooks to sit in, it's a proper traditional bar with really fine beers and excellent service.Stood outside on New Year's Eve which was cosy and pleasant. There's room for groups and plenty of space. The stairs are very steep if you have any mobility issues.On my previous visit we were inside, which was great. It was quieter then but still with a really great atmosphere.Definitely worth a visit.

What a great pub this is, great atmosphere and a fantastic range of Alcohol Free beers, well worth a visit

Can't comment on the pub inside, we sat outside and didn't go in. Plenty of outside seating, some right by the canal. Table service was quick and efficient, plenty of staff. The food looked fantastic, we only had a bowl of chips, homemade and delicious.

A minutes walk from where we're staying - really friendly helpful staff. We'll be back before we leave. Husband made up a real ale pub on our doorstep.
