The Lord Nelson Inn in Calderdale

Sorry Jess - I don't usually review places and I accidentally posted when I didn't intend to! We had an excellent evening out and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Lord Nelson. Good beer and atmosphere. You are now the first place I have posted for.

A wonderful local, the hub of a thriving village. Keep it up

Good value, local pub that does what it says...

Excellent local pub with a great selection of beers and in the heart of a beautiful village .. well reccomended.

1st time visited, very friendly atmosphere, such a lovely place

Can't rate this place enough, if your in the area then get yourself in there. The landlord is larger than life, the beer is like like ambrosia and I can't wait for the food to start again. Watch this space it will be worth the trip. Go once and you will keep going back and be welcomed like family not only by the staff but also by the patrons.

Lovely pub . Clean .smelled lovely, staff really nice. Definitely will be going back. Everyone so friendly.

Typical Yorkshire Village Pub, good choice of beer and ales. Friendly staff and a lovely beer garden.

Lovely pub, staff and location...

Beautiful location. However - pub freezing cold has to sit with my jacket over my legs as there was a draft coming from under seats. Food was below average tiny portions. Kids meals are priced the same as adult meals. In my life time I have never seen kids meals being the same as the adults. Please avoid if possible.
