The Milestone Ripponden in Calderdale

This is the perfect example of never judge a book by its cover. Externally looks like a traditional pub. Internally the decoration is modern and fresh. The menu has a Mediterranean feel. The food is excellent, service is very good. An excellent dining experience! Our dog even got her own little pot of treats and a bowl of water on entry, which was a very nice touch.

Stayed here a couple weeks back, I’m absolutely amazing by the service! The breakfast baskets are just out of this world with a wide range of everything. The manager stef was prompt, excellent and took amazing care of us. We can’t fault the service, the room was everything we needed and very clean.Thankyou again for the an amazing stay and service :)

Friendly and hospitable staff. Nice decor and ambience. Food was amazing both my wife and i finished every last bit, well cooked and the chicken skewers were packed with flavour

Great staff, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Food amazing! We stayed for three nights, rooms have everything that you need, modern and clean. Would highly recommend.

Just had the mini mezze to share with my friend..Absolutely lovely..Then lasagne and crab and prawn linguini, both great..Wine reasonably priced, very attentive staff..Would definitely recommend..

Great place to stay but can be noisy (other guests) at the weekend. Comfortable, warm and modern rooms but shower would be tight for larger guests. Good place for a walking holiday base.Excellent menu and great food, well priced as are the drinks.Check the breakfast choice to make sure it suits you.It's on the main road so can be noisy during rush hour but I wear earplugs so didn't bother me.Would stay again. Oldest pub in Yorkshire just across the road, it's great to 😁.

Enjoyable lunch in the sun: menu is pretty varied, with a Greek twist. We opted for small plates and all were good, if some of the flavors a little overpowering. Kofta were especially tasty and nice and moist.We sat outside but the bar area and the dining room both looked good so will probably return for an evening meal.

Brilliant wee find!Got there late after a long journey and missed last orders for dinner - manager spoke to the kitchen and made sure we all ate!Staff were so friendly and helpful.Food was delicious - cocktails were tasty and the rooms were modern and clean - comfortable bed is always a plus too!Then to top it all off....a wee breakfast basket was left outside the room for us and they even went out their way to the shop to accommodate our Vegan friends breakfast!Will definitely recommend and will 100% be staying again next time I'm down from Scotland!If I could give more than 5 stars I would!You will not be disappointed here!

We could not have been more pleased. The food was delicious with a very good varied menu and fairly priced . The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. I broke my arm and the manageress nd the housekeeper could not have been concerned and extremely kind. We will recommend The Lion pub and grill to all our friends.
