The Mill Cafe in Calderdale

Took mum, we had never been before but we were going to B&Q and it's not that far from there. Mum had the small breakfast which wasn't that small. She really enjoyed it. I had hot beef sandwich and chips. Large teacakes with plenty of beef and the chips were nice too. Coffee was strong which I like. All in all it was good, staff very friendly. Definitely go again if we are over that way.

I have ordered my son a meal from here a few times over the last 7 weeks. Everything has always been very nice, however today it was very poor. The chips smelled of cheap burnt fat and he said they were horrible and the burger was thrown together and slopped with sauce. He left most of it. It wasnt cheap either, alot to pay for cheap poor food.

Food was lovely. So nice to finally find a cafe that serves nice food in Halifax with so much choice. Staff are really friendly and so welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Will certainly be going there again. 🙂🙂🙂 .

Our cycling club Birdwell Wheelers rode our bikes to watch the Tour of Yorkshire and visited the cafe after the race had passed through. Got to say we all enjoyed the breakfast served by your staff and could not fault the food or the service. We will be putting the cafe on our list of preferred cafes and will definitely visit again and pass out recommendation's of your cafe to all of our cycling contacts and other cycling clubs.

Sunday lunch at The Mill. I had prawn cocktail to start whilst my friend had home made carrot and corriander soup, we both commented that we enjoyed. For main I opted for beef whilst friend opted for pork loin both served with homemade Yorkshire, roasts and mash and 2 veg. Friend was impressed with the Yorkshire whilst I enjoyed the aldente cooked veg. Unfortunately I couldn't manage a homemade sweet whilst my friend opted to take a slice of cheesecake home for later. Including a can of cola, a latte and a cappachino bill total was £25.60!

Just had THE best breakfast in a long time.. cooked to perfection, piping hot, copious quantity.. Lovely staff..Well done The Mill Cafe..

Definitely the best breakfast in Halifax! The sausages are fantastic, eggs perfect. Just like a proper hotel breakfast. Excellent!

Amazing Tapas evening tonight.We did as recommended and ordered 3 dishes each.Garlic mushroom cauliflower fritters and dirty wedges for me the vegetarian.Nachos meatballs cod bites and steak and goals cheese All were absolutely delicious. And of course cheesy chips for the daughter.We would highly recommend Tapas night ...perfect !!!!

First visit today. Found this cafe to be excellent. We were warmly welcomed and the food and service was both excellent and fairly priced. Will definitely be visiting again.
