Lovely pub, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable (and apologetic) staff but zero gluten free options on the menu except one starter; not even a salad choice. We managed to find an adaptable menu choice only to find they’d run out so had to go for a refund.

Very nice pub, good selection of well kept beer. Can get very busy, but the service is good.

Absolutely the best place to go for a drink on a sunny Sunday afternoon has a large outdoor area to the rear,and a small one to the front. The pulled pint was absolutely spot on. We just sat there and soaked up the sun and of course enjoyed the drinks...🙃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇦

How times are a changingWent into the White Bear last night on a Sunday night for the first time in many years to find the most unwelcoming atmosphere. Unlike great visits in the past, we were welcomed by very loud and harsh music from a cheap speaker placed on the bar producing music from Spotify. To place my order, I had to shout over the cacophony of noise. To no surprise I saw no faces from the past. All the old friends and residences of Norwood Green will be turning in their graves to know what as become of this once great establishment

It was ok, they forgot my fries and then the cheese board came with no crackers and no butter at all but they did bring some crackers when asked. Overall it was good. My starter and main course were superb. Prawn starter and fillet steak were fantastic. Even with the tiny issues we will go back and the staff were really great, great to have this place near home. Lovely old feel to the place, nice open fires. Beer was great. Give it a go, I would reccomend.

Food very good. Service, especially Jason, fantastic. Avoid late Sunday nights, bit of a heavy metal thing going on or maybe use snug if over 60. 😀 Toilets not as nice as they used to be but apparently refurbishment due soon.

Fantastic experience! I suffer from a dairy allergy- the chef went through the menu personally and ticked off what I could and couldn't have, was such a personal touch. Food was excellent and service was fab.

Popped in on a whim - the food was absolutely outstanding. We are fairly local so have eaten in quite a few places nearby but this was definitely one of the best. It may seem pricey to some but you certainly get quality and quantity for your money. Friendly service too

Gorgeous atmosphere and delicious food!! Webcam for our anniversary and it was rammed but the service was still great!! They forgot my gnocchi but it came very quickly when we informed them!! Great beers as well!!
