Very quiet when we went. Steak night price reasonable. Nice quality steak. A shame there was hardly any people in as such a nice pub

Lovely place. We have just come back from a delightful night here, we were met by friendly staff and really friendly locals too. The room was perfect! Nice and clean and characterful. Breakfast was nice and the landlady was lovely. To top it off as we were leaving a gentleman turned up on a hand-built BSA trails bike, Just brilliant!

A bit of a diamond in the rough, staff are very good and helpful and attentive, here we go with the food, we ordered from the tapas, the chef can cook, the dishes we ordered where hot and very tasty, a mixture of different dishes not solely Spanish but from across Europe had a very good meal, would definitely come again, will worth a visit.

Highly recommended, owners very friendly couple. Rooms clean and tidy, nicely done with a homely feel. Food home cooked, tasty and good portion size. Quizzes on certain nights, The pub popular with locals. Lovely atmosphere definitely going back.

Fantastic food and atmosphere! The staff are really friendly and down to earth. I would highly recommend their homemade pizzas and their Tiramisu was amazingSecond time we have been and it’s well worth the drive for us from Rochdale

It was ok, lots of room for improvement. The owner wrote a response to my review on another site saying he brought our breakfast in a timely fashion, which is far from true. It was a 40 minute wait for a terrible breakfast, no matter how fresh he claims it is cooked. They were catering for three rooms only, not an entire pub. The bacon tasted of bleach and in his response he didn’t mention they failed to offer the Italian breakfast option, we got a what we were given, no options. We asked him for a second round of coffees, which never turned up - again there were only 6 people at the place and it was breakfast, not a full service. I would have replied to his response but the site doesn’t let me add to it or comment on it. Even his wife was annoyed he was nowhere to be seen and left us waiting for our breakfast for 40 minutes.

We arranged a funeral tea at the Rushcart and had lots of problems during the previous week with getting a death certificate and being able to register the death. We could only confirm the funeral would go ahead two days before the event but Martin was very patient and flexible, which made a difficult situation much easier for us.Maria put on a good selection of lovely food including proper authentic Italian pizza and pasta. It was all delicious - thank you Maria. Maria and the staff were very welcoming to us all and we felt very much at home.Big shout out to Terri and Kate who did the bar and served food etc. Thank you both.I can heartily recommend The Rushcart for good staff, good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Beware of landlords staying up until early hour's entertaining. We stayed 3 night's and was kept awake due to them having their accommodation door on the same floor banging and having wooden floors constantly hearing them up and down the stairs, then on the second night to be kept awake due entertaining they were talking, laughing and playing music and banging door's. We decided enough was enough, we had to go down and tell them it was unexceptable at 2.30 in the morning.
