4 of us called in today,we arrived at 11.30 so there wasn't any pies ready until 12.we had a breakfast and it was great value at £4.50 and was delicious. Next time we go will be for the pies, they look nice and they bake themselves. Very nice service and friendly staff. There is a one way in and one door for exit, not sure why as there doesn't seem a problem with people using both doors for entry and exit.

Been here before and all was well but this time I decided to have beef chilli, oh dear what a disappointment. Hardly any beef but absolutely loads of tomatoes. Will I go again, probably but have something different. Sorry Secret Cafe.

I visited here today for the first time with my friend for lunch. The food was lovely and fresh and the chips were amazing. The scone with jam and butter was delicious. Lovely little cafe tucked away nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely be going again in the very near future.

Excellent food, the pie was delicious. Nice surroundings in an old mill building. Great service and reasonably priced. Easy to get to with lots of free parking.

It was the first time we have been. Lovely place, food was very good and very reasonable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We will be going back and ordering pies.

·

Great staff very good food and just a stones throw away from the canal/river walk!

Delightfully hidden away as per the name! We discovered this place on a lovely autumn canal walk. We sat outside in the sunshine but sadly it was not dog friendly inside. We had bacon sandwiches which were delicious. Would definitely revisit when the sun is shining

Inexpensive cafe, hidden away in nice location. Food today was distinctly average, though the decaf tea was hot and plentiful. The corned beef slice was dry, half full of vegetables and was low on both flavour and actual corned beef. The vegetables were tasteless frozen mixed veg and the chips were nothing special. Sorry guys but only 3 stars from me.

Best pies in Yorkshire. I had Steak and Kidney and wasn’t disappointed. Served with home made chips (like your Mum used to make) & mushy peas. Absolutely delicious. Helpful and friendly staff made a great lunch fantastic. I’ll be back.

Cannot recommend The Secret Cafe highly enough; it really is a hidden gem. Just a quick detour from the canal tow path if you're on a nice walk and want a quick cuppa or bite to eat; or (as we regularly do) you can order their delicious pies for delivery or collection. The pies really are fantastic. Lovely flavour combinations and good quality cuts of meat - with plenty of vegetarian alternatives if you need them. The lamb and minted pea pie is a taste sensation and we ALWAYS have one on-hand in our freezer for a tasty & quick midweek meal. This is a family run business; Pam, Harry and the rest of the team are such a friendly & happy bunch it makes the place so welcoming to visit. Cannot wait to try their Bisto Nights when we finally see the back of this pandemic!
