Great bottle of New Zealand S. Blanc....excellent choice of coffee. The landlord is very friendly and super efficient. The group of Shanty singers...The Landlubbers.....were great fun...as always.

Great pub, ideal if walking the canal, well kept well poured ale.

Decent bar this, worth a visit if in the area, staff really friendly and welcoming, we call in usually during a monthly pub walk from another local pub, dog friendly and decent enough selection of drinks.

Nice beer good atmosphere ...... and a free sop supper .... in the afternoon

A band was playing so the atmosphere was great. Friendly staff, quick service and reasonably priced.

Our local pub, although we don't get to visit as often as I'd like.A cosy traditional pub serving a great pint and some good food.Children are allowed until 5pm and dog walkers generally get a friendly welcome from the locals who like to give well behaved (and preferably clean) pets some attention.An outdoor drinking area caters for those wishing to smoke, enjoy the sun or sit with dogs who might have been for a dip in the canal.Local bands often perform live music on a weekend which makes for something a little different that the likes of a Wetherspoons can't provideI'd recommend it to friends.

The barkeep was Marvin friendly it was the first time I've been into this pub and I was made to feel welcome

Great pub, friendly staff, nice chilled out atmosphere and a smashing range of ale.

Had a nice drink watching the traffic go by. The lovely young barman was very helpful in telling us where we could get something to eat and ideas where to go during our 2 day break in Halifax
