Great food, beautiful spot! Had a lovely home cooked meal today, excellent food with great service in a beautiful location!

Food and service were excellent. Seating slightly cramped for a party of 6 but wouldnt stop me recommending it.

First went on a recommendation 20 years ago, still going, food wholesome and tasty, portions good and atmosphere special, John cooks proper Yorkshire food and has a real flare for tasty soups, Sunday 4 course lunch the best around and the team are warm, caring and hardworking, a true family business

We're regular visitors to this lovely place - staff are friendly, food is good and reasonably priced but since our last visit and to enable them to take more customers during Covid restrictions, they have expanded the outside eating areas quite substantially. Unfortunately, this means waiting times have also increased substantially - we were there for almost an hour before getting our food when waiting times used to be minimal.Still a good visit but more staff needed, I think.

Superb service even though they're short staffed. Dog friendly, excellent quality, generous portions. Will return for sure

Great cafe/restaurant in idyllic location near to Leeds Liverpool canal. Family run business with friendly staff and fantastic food, all cooked on premises. Very reasonable prices, serve alcohol and have indoor and outdoor seating.

Always served good, classic, English menu...has adopted Covid measures well. A family favourite, also great to sit outside when the weather permits.

Lovely place tucked away so wasn't aware of its existence until today. Good value small breakfast and some very nice looking cakes. The young lady who served us was so pleasant. We shall definately go again!

Excellent food, nice restaurant So impressed, came back for a Sunday lunch, great Sunday lunch, couldn't fault it.

Small and friendly country café/restaurant with great home cooked food and a charming atmosphere. Stone built cottage with beams and rustic furniture.
