Alexander's Bar & Kitchen in Craven

Had a very pleasant experience sitting out on the terrace on a lovely sunny afternoon. Great selection of drinks - gins in particular and local gins even more in particular. Would have been a five-star review but there was a bit of a wait before being greeted & seated and then to take our order. In mitigation, there was a wedding party being prepared (and the lower terrace looked a lovely venue for that!)

Poor service and attentiveness.Called in Saturday evening 9.45 for a drink. Sat outside and waited. Table next to me had ordered drinks and were waiting an age.When server come out with drinks, I was politely told that someone would be with me soon.The restaurant was quiet with staff sat around talking.When I was finally asked for my drink order, I decided to leave.Been a couple of times now and had similar experiences.The place is set up to have a good vibe but is being miss managed.

As always my go to for amazing cocktails. My partner and I popped in at lunch time today and were greeted with huge, welcoming smiles, despite being in running/cycling gear and looking like wild things.It was busy, but we were served quickly. The bar snacks and cocktails were bang on. Susannah and team, keep doing what you do.

Excellent choice for special occasions and fine food. Lovely buzzy atmosphere, very friendly service. Food absolutely divine, nice cocktails and a good wine list. Highly recommend.

Very classy restaurant. The decor is amazing. The staff are on point. So polite and attentive. As we had the dog with us we sat in the Terrance under cover. Had blankets in case it was cold and heaters. Very comfortable.Now the food! WOW!! You definitely pay for what you get. The Sunday lunch was AMAZING!! Kids had burger and pizza, again AMAZING!! Oh the puddings….. just delicious.Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed 😍

Popped in here by accident today with five friends for a tea break. All the staff made us very welcome and found us a table on the terrace. Service was impeccable, our morning treats were amazing, Covid compliance perfect and I have to say some of the cleanest toilets I’ve come across anywhere in a long time.

Never had a bad experience at Alexander's. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Phillipa, Kathryn and Amy. The food is of a very high standard even if you just pop in for a pot of tea and a scone you're treated like Royalty. When the sun's out the terrace to the rear is idyllic.

Took my husband here for his birthday and what a treat. Top quality food and service. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. It's a great setting on the river too. We came back for afternoon cocktails in the secret garden. We give this place 10/10 thank you to Richard and all the team. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic Anniversary meal. Staff so friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend. Food tasty and such a gorgeous restaurant. Returning soon. Thankyou to all the staff and management.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here yesterday. Professional friendly service and staff. Very well presented, neat tidy and well dressed, with "A" brand face masks. A one way system in place for covid restrictions.Lovely ambience and decor , I loved the moving flora and fauna panel, it reminded me of a restaurant I love in Sorrento.Very good outdoor dining with heaters and shelter and parasols.The food was was delicious and the gelati also.Definitely recommend to friends and family
