Stayed 1 night here for 30th. The room was nice and spacious. Everywhere seemed clean. Food was excellent and very tasty. We will be going to stay again. Being able to park at Bolton Priory for free is a nice bonus.

Absolutely wonderful service from all staff, especially appreciated as we were confined to the hotel all day due to flooding. Well looked after and impressed by my special vegan dietary accommodations. Lovely rooms. The food is of an INCREDIBLE standard, breakfast and especially for evening dinner. Thank you, Devonshire Fell. Helena and James xx

Fabulously sited Hotel!Had a voucher given as a wedding gift from friends for a beautiful afternoon tea.Complimentary glass of Prosecco served after being seated at a lovely table with an amazing view, in the conservatory.Everything served on the afternoon tea was delicious. 3 varieties of sandwich and a tasty selection of cakes and scones and plenty of hot Yorkshire tea! The staff were friendly, polite and made us feel very welcome.A fabulous hotel to stay or call in for food or just a drink. You will always receive a great welcome.A gem in beautiful countryside.Thank you.

Wonderful countryside, it’s lucky the hotel is situated so well as nobody would come and stay for anything else. Dinner was the nadir but you’re forced to pay for it as they don’t offer a B&B rate

The Devonshire Fell is an oasis of calm in a fantasy landscape. It sits beautifully on an elevated position, overlooking a stunning valley, with dry-stone walled green fields opposite. Seemingly carefully dispersed sheep dot about the landscape, leading down to the impossibly beautiful meandering river at the foot of the valley, flowing gently past the village of Burnsall just a few minute stroll further down the hill. The characterful Red Lion pub that sits at the foot of the old stone bridge that spans the river is a gem, with a wood-panelled, cosy bar, complete with worn oak foot rest, evidencing the generations of customers who have propping the bar up, no doubt whilst drinking a pint of the fabulous beer served there by friendly staff. The Devonshire Fell itself also has an attractive bar, albeit more modern, but just as friendly. The decor is modern and bright and has a lovely blend of formal and less formal dining areas in the form of the main dining room and it's less formal front extension dining area. Dogs are not only permitted, but seem to be encouraged here - unusual in such a luxurious setting, and the communal parts seem to remain immaculate. The carpet to the rooms is deep, colourful and fun with a linear purple and grey design, and the rooms themselves are characterful and luxurious. The suites are beautiful, but the smaller rooms too offer comfort and a high quality finish, with a fabulous view thrown in. The food is shockingly good for a small hotel. I would defy anyone to find fault, even those used to fine dining in more urban settings.I am, admittedly, somewhat biased, as this is an area I would quite happily retire to and where I would never tire of gazing out from across the North Yorkshire rolling landscape - preferably with a snoozing dog at my feet! However, this hotel offers a rare blend of luxury and perfect location, whilst remaining welcoming and homely. It is the perfect base from which excursions around the surrounding idyllic towns and villages can easily be made. I can't think of another place I would rather spend time on a mini-break. Shear heaven.

Splendid hotel, very friendly staff and all food beautifully presented. We were lucky enough to have a suite which is spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating, a superking bed, well decorated and with two bathrooms and fabulous views of the river and surrounding countryside.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The staff where amazing and very polite. Highly reccomend this place to stay. Dogs are welcome too.

The staff are amazing. They are what makes it work. Attentive, but not overly so. Friendly and approachable. They are clearly working really hard and should be congratulated.Been to the Devonshire Arms a couple of times and although that place is lovely there's a more comfortable informality to The Fell. Crazy stair carpet and dark wood entrance to floor lobbies is the only criticism I can give!

Incredibly helpful and welcoming staff at this charming hotel in such wonderful surroundings. Well equipped and really lovely rooms, very comfortable beds and great selection of complementary refreshments. Lovely breakfast buffet arranged for us all.

We booked a 2 night DBB but unfortunately we were unable to dine in the evening at the hotel due to them not having a chef, however we were given the option of dinner at the Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey and they booked and paid for a taxi for us which was great. We also had a delicious afternoon tea at the Devonshire Fell and breakfast was also excellent. The hotel is located in a lovely little village with fabulous walks along the river and stunning views. It's very peaceful and quiet in the evening in the hotel but there's a nice bar and you can sit in the pretty garden if the weather is fine. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
