Fox & Hounds in Craven

Nice pub, but limited menu on a Sunday and the roast beef was more a case of quantity over quality. Unfortunately our allotted table was in a very noisy separate room which would've been great for a private function, but not when there are mixed groups. Clearly a group of three isn't going to want to be seated next to a table of 8 or 10. We were able to move tables, but one member of staff clearly thought we were just being fussy. The lady who served us in the main room was much more professional though.

Fab food lovely service and dogs allowed.

Superb meal as usual. Efficient and very friendly staff. A real pleasure to come to this restaurant. We'll be back!

I booked Sunday lunch here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and whilst the experience was - as Sunday lunches in decent village pubs go - very nice, I think I had perhaps overestimated how fancy the occasion would be, based mostly on the abundance of ‘Michelin’ based wording on the website.The pub itself was fine and the food was great, if a little unimaginative for the level it claims to be - very limited choice for vegetarians. The service was ok - staff, whilst very pleasant, seemed generally a little uninformed about the menu and certainly didn’t seem particularly encouraged to bring anything extra to our experience which was unfortunate as we arrived in a mindset to spend a bit extra as it was a special occasion.My overall summation would be - delicious food and the set menu price is very reasonable. Worth a go if you are nearby but, as it stands, it’s not going to blow your mind.

Nice of them to accommodate our dogs, a bit muddy too. Sadly the meal was not as advertised, missing items. But I can see it is a lovely place, will try again.

Attended a Wedding here, absolutely beautiful and cozy venue. Perfect size for a smaller celebration. Lovely fire and delicious food

Wowsers! My wife and I went to the Fox & Hounds last Sunday and had an amazing meal. My first time back there in twenty or so years, and now I wish we'd gone much sooner.Three courses of the most tasty food going for a really great price, backed up by warm service and a feel good atmosphere. The short horn beef for two as the main was out of this world. Simply the best beef I have had eating out in this country.

Beautiful food in a lovely pub. 3 courses and a carafe of wine for £110 including service. Well worth it for a treat or anniversary/birthday.

Excellent Sunday lunch, great food , good portion sizes. Left with full stomach and happy, will return.
