Went on a sat afternoon, booked a table for 2. Waited a while to be seated. Ordered drinks, everything fine so far. Food ordered..... this is when it went wrong. Mixed grill for me and rump steak for my girlfriend. Waited over an hour for this, which if the place was really busy I could understand. Within this time we wasn't asked if we would like another drink. Now for the hour long wait on the food. Well it came barely warm with chips that looked like they had been sat waiting for 30 mins or more. The tomato looked to be from the previous nights prep at best. When we complained that the food was cold we was asked if we would like a fresh meal. Dident have another hour to wait so paid for our 1 drink and left. Not sure if the management has changed but it used to be a good experience.

Lovely venue, friendly welcoming staff. I had the pork belly from the chef specials. Really nice, puree on the bottom was a bit lost but overall couldn't fault it We will definitely be back!

Really not impressed one bit. Planned a family dinner here as we thought it would be good quality.Called to book a table over the phone by speaking to a computer (Red flag already really). Wanted to speak to a person about food allergies and requirements but it seemed impossible to get through or speak to anyone! Tried several times.Lady was a bit rude when we arrived when I asked about a vegan menu. There were minimal vegan options and quite frankly the vegan options weren't varied or exciting at all. I ended up having to have a starter which wasn't that great.Obismal kids meal of what resembled a lump of a 'burger' see photo.Took forever to bring food out and it was shockingly poor considering how long it took.We did not stay for a desert and will not be returning again as there are better pubs locally. Shame as we came a few years ago, not sure if it's changed hands but the standard then was so much better than now.Very disappointing.

OK this is a large place. Very busy therefore quite a wait which you don't mind if the food is worth it. Don't get me wrong it was quite alright but not worth the high price for pub fayre. Drinks very expensive I.e a bottle of fruit cider £5.20. My meal was forgotten out of 9 of us. However this was, quickly rectified once made aware of this. This place has lots of knooks and crannies so you can be as open or snuggly hidden away as you want. I believe this is a good stop over for lunch in summer as they have some spectacular views and large outdoor seating area. We had two disabled people in our party and was dissapoimeted to find that the disabled parking bays had been replaced with tables. I did note a dog station so for walkers out with your pets you would be welcome here. I would ask that more thought is given to the disabled parking places please as this is not a small car park and greater some difficulty for two of the guests. I would go back giving the benefit of doubt that it was just a bad day because we all have them.

Went mid week. Shocking service, uninterested staff/manager. Two hours for a two course meal for my daughter and I. It used to be a really nice place to dine where you felt valued. The food was okay totally edible, no complaints there. Just the feeling that you were 'forgotten' ruined the experience.

Lovely setting. We went at lunchtime today (15.01.22) had steak and red wine pie 50% of the pie was pastry 3 tiny pieces of steak very disappointing. We mentioned it to the make waiter as we got the bill rhinking he would mention it to the manager who could then steak to the supplier and got the response "we don't make the pies they are bought in". No apology nothing. Not impressed ☹☹☹

This pub used to be one of our favourites before we moved area.We revisited today with friends and were veryimpressed again with the choice and quality of the food.Sea bass and scallops were delicious and theother orders were similarly excellent with lovely presentation. Seems like the chef had gonethe extra mile to present top quality fare. The lady who took the order deserves aspecial mention as well as she was sofriendly, and meticulous in her table manner.Dog friendly too with dog biscuits and wateravailable. Will definitely call again.

An atmospheric place with a beautiful view of Manchester, the food was delicious, despite many unfavorable comments about the food, however, I decided to come there for my birthday dinner and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, we were served by a very nice waiter with tattoos🖤, I will definitely come back there more than once, me and my partner were satisfied with the service, atmosphere, beautiful view and tasty food. It made it one of the better birthday days. I would like to add that I asked for a place with a nice view of the city and my request was granted. Thank you very much. 🖤

It was a meal to celebrate my daughters graduation and so she chose the venue. Cannot fault the location it’s high up on Werner Low with view for miles. People go up there to watch the sunsets. The table had an ‘I’m clean’ stand on but was sticky from previous guests.Staff seemed friendly but the food was not what we expected at all. That being in a negative way. Two of us had starters that were mushrooms on a sourdough crumpet- I swear it tasted like some Mushrooms in a minimal sauce on a raw standard crumpet. I’ve never eat a raw crumpet and never will after this. Crumpets should have some toasting to them.My wife had the Sea base and the skin was not crisped at all and was greasy and slimy- she took the skin off and ate the rest.My daughter had the vegan burger which she left half as is was all dry and crumbled as she tried to eat it.I didn’t have my dessert but two in our party did, one of the party asked for extra custard cans were given one small jug of custard with a small amount of lukewarm custard in and a large gravy boat with COLD custard in, It completely baffled us as to why they would serve cold custard.I wouldn’t return there again for food but maybe that area with the dogs because of its beautiful location.
